In 2012 the Elevator Emergency

Light Store, partnered with

Ellenby to create their Universal

Elevator Emergency Light Kit

electronics.

Elevator Emergency Light Store came to us

with a novel design for an emergency LED

lighting solution, the ELK, that could

retrofit to just about any elevator on the

market. Ellenby designed a circuit board to

meet the specification, sourced all the

components, and generated test fixtures to

100% test the board operation.

The popular ELK01 product uses a range of

surface mount and through-hole

components, as well as mechanical coupling

to an LED daughter card. The board uses

a combination of line voltage and low

voltage circuitry and performs functions of

powering an elevator alarm, charging a

battery, and of course, operating the

backup lighting system.

continues to add patent pending

innovations to their designs, Ellenby

manufacturing partner.
