Bi-Directional Flexible Bend Sensors™
Bi-Directional Flexible Bend Sensors™ - FLX-01
Images new bi-directional Bi-Flex Bend Sensor™ is a unique component that changes resistance when bent. An
un-flexed sensor has a nominal resistance of 10,000 ohms (10 K). As the flex sensor is bent in either direction
the resistance gradually decreases.
Sensor is also pressure sensitive, and may be used as a force or pressure sensor
The flex sensor operating temperature is -45F to 125F.
The sensor measures 3/8 inch wide, 4 1/2 inches long and only .038 inches thick!

Bi-Directional Flexible Bend Sensors™ - FLX-02
Images new experimental bi-directional Bi-Flex Sensor (Patent Pending) is a unique component that changes
resistance when bent or flexed in either direction. An un-flexed sensor has a nominal resistance of 20-50K.As
the flex sensor is bent in one direction the resistance gradually increases. When the sensor is bent in the other
direction its resistance will gradually decrease. Range of nominal resistances of the FLX-02 sensor may vary
between 20-50K.
The flexible bend sensor operating temperature is -45F to 125F.
The sensor measures 1/4 inch wide, 4 1/2 inches long and only .019 inches thick!
Connection - 2 position socket mates to 2-position header .100" spacing

One-Directional Flexible Bend Sensors™
Uni-Directional Flexible Bend Sensors™ - FLX-03
One directional Flex Sensor is a unique component that changes resistance when bent or flexed (Patent
5086785). An un flexed sensor Style A has a nominal resistance of approximately 10,000 ohms (10 K). As the
flex sensor is bent in one direction the resistance gradually increases. Range of resistances of the FLX-03 Style A
sensor may vary between 10K and 40K depending upon the degree of the flex.
An un flexed sensor Style B begins with a infinitely high nominal resistance. As the flex sensor is bent in one
direction the resistance gradually decreases. Range of resistances of the FLX-03 Style B sensor may decrease to
under 10K depending upon the degree of the flex.
The flex sensor operating temperature is -45F to 125F.
Style A Connection - Pin connector .100" spacing
Style B Connection - 2 Position socket mates to
2-position header .100" spacing
