Birthday Books!

The library would like to wish Amira happy birthday. Thanks to Amira, the library now has a copy of The Singing Mermaid by Julia Donaldson. Beyond having glitter on every page, this story is written completely in rhymes. The singing mermaid is taken to be apart of a circus exhibition. Will she ever get to go back to her home in the ocean? Thanks Amira for this new addition, and happy birthday.

Happy Birthday to our first grade student Grace C.! She is donating a copy of Puss in Boots by Charles Perrault and retold by Joy Cowley to the library. This timeless tale shows how a clever cat wins all of his wishes, including the marriage of a princess. This version has become popular be-cause of the illustrations of Korean artist Sam-hyeon Kim. Thanks Grace for expanding out fairy tale collection.

Birthday Books!

On December 6th in TAISM’s Bosch Center for the Performing Arts grade 3-5 students will perform a concert entitled “Imagine That!” The musical afternoon will feature songs and instrumental pieces from the bizzare to wonderful, the crazy to inspired. Poems by Jack Prelutsky helped students develop their work.
