ELEMENTARY NEW TESTAMENT GREEK

sthild.org

This short course will enable students to access the New Testament in its original language and give them new tools for studying it in detail. At the end of the ten weeks students will have gained the basic tools of translation, and an introductory knowledge of Greek vocabulary, morphology, and syntax.

All students will be informally assessed at the end of the course through a detailed exegetical study of a New Testament passage – this assessment process is a crucial part of the learning of the course.

There may also be the chance to join a regular reading group after finishing the course.

Students taking this course don’t need to have any prior knowledge of Greek – or of theology.

Amy Hole is a curate within the Sheffield Diocese, and an alumnus of St Hild College. She is a creative teacher who enjoys seeing the lightbulb come on as students discover the joys of the New Testament in its original language.

Fee: £179.00
