The Beginning of The School

Once the children have reached 6 or7 years of age (depending on the parents decision) they start to study at elementary school.

The parents must provide a copy of the their childrens birth certificate and the certificate of completing the pre-primary level of education e.g. kindergarten.

If the childs documents are not written in Bulgarian, they must be translated and be approved by the Ministry of Education and Science.

And when the kids find out that theyre starting school, they look like this:

What to know about the elementary education in Bulgaria?

The elementary education lasts 4 years (from 1st to 4th grade).

In every school and level of education, children start to study the basics of all the subjects: Alphabet Language; Numbers on Maths and etc.

There is only one teacher for all subjects which are:

Everyday Routine

School starts at 8 oclock in the morning ..

There are 5 or 6 lessons per day. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes.

After each lesson, there is a short break of 10 minutes. But after the 3rd class, the break is twice as long (20 mins) and during it the children can eat:

Krenvirshki

Soft cookies

Croissants

When the school classes finish, the pupils can stay at school and do their homework, entertain themselves or just spend time doing something else guided by a teacher in a room of safety called zanimalnia.

If the child has difficulties in understanding the taught material or a lesson at school, their teacher can help them.

And after staying all day at school (from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m), the kids will look very tired like this:

to be responsible and hard-working

to have good manners and be understanding and honest with each other

to respect the others and dont fight or argue.
