FREERequired Orientation:A required orientation is held on the first day of class at Gateway. This orientation will familiarize students with the course format, software, and expectations.

An ACCUPLACER test day will be scheduled upon successful completion of the Boot Camp. Placement tests will be scheduled in CES S205. After taking the ACCUPLACER, students will be advised into their fall class.

Who:Students placing into Math Level B2 who are motivated, hard-working, and able to commit to the program.

What:Gateway is offering an Elementary Algebra (095) Math Boot Camp for students wishing to refresh their Elementary Algebra skills and improve their ACCUPLACER score.

This course covers topics including properties of real numbers, linear equations and inequalities in one variable, graphing linear equations in two variables, formulating equations of lines in two variables, an introduction to functions, solving systems of linear equations, rules of integral exponents and operations of polynomials.

Why:This is a FREE non-credit prep course that provides students with the opportunity to become familiar with the Gateway campus, refresh their Elementary Algebra Math skills and build confidence.

Upon successful completion, students may retake the ACCUPLACER test and possibly place into a higher level course therefore saving TIME and MONEY. Students will also receive one-on-one advising and be registered for the appropriate math course.
