WinXRF Analytical Assistantmakes quantitative analysis easyto defineAnalytical programs and calibration aredefined with the help of the on-lineAnalytical Assistant. Calibration curves arecalculated using the multi-variableregression (MVR) program. Correctionmodels eliminate the influence of interferingelements in multicomponent matrices andachieve better accuracy of analysis. Thesemodels are:• Line overlap correction• Additive correction on intensities• Additive correction on concentrations• Lucas-Tooth: Multiplicative correction on

Interactive color graphics, zoomcapability and automatic or manual peakidentification help interpreting qualitativescans. Up to three scans can besuperimposed (one may be a real timeacquisition) with 2θ angle, wavelength orenergy scale, cursor positioning andlabeling facilities. Cursors coordinates aswell as scan parameters can be printed.Background positions and 2θ real valuescan be transferred from a scan into the linelibrary automatically.

QuantAS™*: Quantitative Analysisusing ScansConcentration levels in liquid or solidsamples can be determined through theuserfriendly optional QuantAS package. 5scans covering the spectrum of 70 elementsfrom F to U are performed. Smoothing,background subtraction, peak identification,overlap and matrix corrections, calculationof semiquantitative concentrations andnormalization are all done automatically fora fast and easy semi-quantitative analysisof unknown samples. Various options, likethe calculation of an unanalyzed element orcompound and Type standardization areavailable for ultimate accuracy.

UniQuant® state-of-the artstandardless analysisThe optional UniQuant®* providesstandardless analysis for up to 79 elementswhen specific standards are not available,when samples can only be obtained in smallquantities or as irregular shapes. Unknownliquid samples can also be analyzed veryefficiently. Various options, like thecalculation of an unanalyzed element orcompound, the sample dilution (if unknown),multi-element mono- layer or thin layers areavailable for ultimate accuracy.

The QuantAS and UniQuant® optionalmodules are fully calibrated and installed inthe factory, making them ready forimmediate use on user's site.

Flexible sample and analysisprocessing definitionWinXRF Tasks define every aspect of yoursample analysis procedures. You apply eachtask with just one click! It featuresinteractive color graphics for fast andaccurate calibration curve calculation, andis based on the least squares regressiontechnique to find the polynomial coefficientsof the best fit curve.

Correction for matrix andinterelemental effects can be performed.Additive corrections of first or second orderas well as multiplicative non-linearcorrections are available, including selfanalyte correction.

The use of third party generatedFundamental Parameter alphas in MVRemphasizes the versatility of WinXRFsoftware.

The calibration curve can be displayedwith raw or corrected intensities. Curve fitcorrelation includes analytical informationsuch as Standard Error of Estimate, Limit ofDetection, Background EquivalentConcentration and Sensitivity, and showssamples excluded from calculations.Samples names and calibration data can bedisplayed for easy identification and directcalibration tuning.

Tables allow the easy input ofcalibration standard data, withimport/export facility from/to files in CSV(Comma Separated Values) format, directlycompatible with Excel.
