Elephant Gypsum Board

Equipped with fire-resistant capability, Elephant Gypsum Board is designed

to provide the resistance to fire for 1/2 - 4 hours and block the flame fromspreading to the attached room.

**Fire-Block Sheet provides the extra fire resistance rating.

Elephant Gypsum Board transmits low heat and provides perfect insulatingproperty which could reduce heat generation and energy consumptionof air conditioning system. Besides, the Micro-fiber insulation could beadditionally installed in contact with ceiling to further increasethe thermal quality.**Heat-Block Sheet provides extra heat penetration control capability.

With sound absorption capability, Elephant Gypsum Board can be appliedas ceiling and wall to retard the penetration of 35-60 decibel noise.

Elephant Gypsum Board could be used as both Wall and Ceiling withoutthe need for beam installation. Set up through the drywall system,it can be quickly installed, leaving no dust to the area.Besides,the repairor demolition work could be also simply processedat minimum disturbanceto other areas, even the occupied ones.

Setting up Elephant Gypsum Board can be quickly completed only aftersealing the joints with Elephant Gypsum Compound and painting, or justcovering the surface with wallpapers. The plain surface of Board furtherpermits the maximum flexibility to create any ceiling shapes, suchas stepped or vaulted, as well as to be applied in any areas.

The high strength feature offers the durability in any climates toElephant Gypsum Board. Furthermore, it is 5 times lighter than the brickwall which could help reducing the structure base of the constructionwhen installing the Board.

Even at high temperature or upon fire burning, Elephant Gypsum Boardwill not emit poisonous gas as it is formed up with Gypsum Mineral whichcould prevent the known health hazard. Moreover, it could be re-usedwithout any effect towards the environment.

Gypsum Board Installation Tips

For Partition

1. The length of screw for fixing Gypsum Board to metal stud is equal to

the thickness of Gypsum Board plus 10 mm.

2. The thickness of the metal stud should be 5.5 mm.

3. The vertical metal stud should be set in the same direction.

4. If there is ajoint, the strength at the joint is lower.

5. If the width of the partition is above 15 m.,at every 15 m. interval an expansion joint

must be used in order to prevent cracking.

6. Always leave about 10 mm. space from the floor to prevent dampness.

7. In high humidity area,especially in the kitchen or bathroom, U-line stud which is laid

on the floor should be wrapped with plastic sheet before installation. The Moisbloc

is the most suitable for this purpose.

For Ceiling

1. If the length of the concealed ceiling isabove 15 m.,at every 15 m. interval a 10 mm.

space must be left in conjunction with the expansion joint to prevent cracking.

2. For the room requiring both Gypsum Board partition and ceiling, install the ceiling

before the partition. If the sound insulation is needed, install the partition before

the ceiling.

3. For T-bar ceiling system, there should be enough ventilation above the ceiling

to prevent the sacking of Gypsum Board.

4. To checkthe levelof installed ceiling,place 2 m.straight bar on checking point, the gap

between the ceiling surface and the end of the straight bar should not exceed 5mm.
