Elegance at Lamarck Guest Comments Jennifer Banash – Los Angeles, California June 2017 A wonderful, and true to its name, elegant apartment located on a quaint stair street in a quiet and charming part of the 18th arr. Gail was extremely responsive to email and went it if her way to be accommodating with our last-minute booking--she even left us a cold bottle of wine in the refrigerator. I would absolutely stay here again as the apartment was very well equipped, clean, and beautifully furnished. There are tons of wonderful bistros and cafes within walking distance, as well as fromageries, butcher shops and street markets--try the market street at Rue de Poteau! In short, if you are debating whether to book this flat, do not hesitate. Nina & Jonathan Gormley – Bar Harbor, Maine November 2016 My recent 10-night stay in Paris with my husband was greatly enhanced by our choice of Elegance at Lamarck. We have been home for a month and still talk about the apartment as much as the City of Light’s more widely known attractions. It was that charming, spacious, comfortable, well appointed and superbly located. Since the photos and descriptions accurately showed us what to expect, we felt right at home upon arrival. The welcome/ orientation tour from our greeter, Georgina told us all we needed to know about apartment features - from how the key sets worked to where to find spare light bulbs. She gave us a good overview of the immediate neighborhood and transportation options too. An extensive notebook with operating instructions for appliances and such filled in details for later reference. The notebook was also a treasure trove of Perfectly Paris recommendations for shopping, dining and sightseeing. There are many reasons we felt right at home in this apartment (besides the welcome champagne) .For one, there was abundant storage for our things – no need to live out of or even look at our luggage until it was time to pack. From bedroom closet to bathroom drawers to hooks by the entry door, we could move right in. Internet and phone worked flawlessly to keep us connected and we never lacked for hot water in the kitchen or bathroom. My husband really appreciated that the bed had a headboard, a rather rare amenity in rental apartments. As two avid cooks, we had to develop a new choreography to work together in the narrow kitchen, but there was good equipment and a nice big fridge to stash the goods from all the farmers’ markets and specialty food shops we patronized during our stay. How relaxing to linger over morning coffee with a fresh croissant or pain aux raisins from a nearby bakery, watching the parade of pedestrians pass up and down the staircase to the Lamarck-Caulaincourt metro station. Evenings in were peaceful unless we wanted action. One memorable night, we dined in on fresh oysters, salad, cheeses and fig tart before walking over to rue Lepic for a great jazz evening at Autour de Midi… et Minuit and back again in the wee hours. Other nights we dined out, spoiled for choices of neighborhood bistros or in-town places just an Eiffel-Tower- lit bus ride away. In short, it was like living la vie Parisienne…only better, because we were on vacation. During the day, we could follow our mood up the hills of Montmartre or simply hop across the street into the metro and ride line 12 to the Musée d’Orsay, for example, in no time. We chose Elegance in Lamarck based on prior flawless experiences with Perfectly Paris, location, amenities and value. It was generously sized and affordable for a couple, but had we hosted a friend or another couple during our stay, the layout and foldout would have made it easy to share. For future trips to Paris, I would not hesitate to return to this special love nest or to choose another Perfectly Paris property according to our travel party size. Chinnie Ding – New York, USA 21 September 2016 Set beside a long cascade of stairs connecting two streets, (typical of picturesque Montmartre), this ground floor apartment felt like a little country cottage, quaint and comfortable. Here's what we appreciated most about our stay. Comfortable sized for 3 people, with space to pace, work separately, make phone calls / watch TV / cook without disturbing one another. On a nice day you can sit out on the private terrace. Ideal location in central Montmartre, a 30 second walk from metro

On a nice day you can sit out on the private terrace. Ideal location in central Montmartre, a 30 second walk from metro

station Lamarck-Caulaincourt (line 12). Many boulangeries / cafes / restaurants nearby, plus two Franprix locations walkable to. Roomy storage with hallway and bedroom closets, regular sized fridge, kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Very useful if you are staying beyond just a few days. Personal laundry room on the same floor. All other necessities were also thoughtfully provided: Kitchenware towels, soap, toilet paper, household cleaning basics, etc. Kitchen had all appliances you need to cook at home. Nice hardwood floors with sturdy traditional furniture. Tall windows let in as much light as possible for a ground floor apartment. The Wi-Fi worked well and the communication with Gail and our greeter was efficient and pleasant. Given all of the above, we recommend this apartment. Sy Smith – USA 13 July 2016 Elegance at Lamarck indeed. We had the most lovely stay here! From our check-in to the surprise gift from Gail for our anniversary (a lovely original drawing by Larbi), this stay has given us so many memories that we can cherish for years to come. So grateful for this PerfectlyParis trip. Shawn Carter – USA 13 July 2016 We had a wonderful vacation here at Lamarck. We couldn't have asked for a better location or better hosts than PerfectlyParis. We definitely will tell everyone about this place and Gail! Thank you so much. C'était superbe ! Stephane Hubert – Hong Kong June 2016 Location very good in Montmartre. A bottle of red wine waited me. Very flexible for arrival time. Good experience Wulfric Thompson – UK February 2016 What an amazing apartment, everything was perfect. A perfect host. Kathie and Jack – Adelaide, Australia 22 January 2016 Our third stay at Elegance at Lamarck – this time for four weeks – and we have loved every minute of it. Many thanks to Gail, Georgina and the rest of the PerfectlyParis team for making our stay so problem-free and comfortable. We have already started planning our next visit, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Susan and Tony Ferrell - USA 23 November 2015 We have had a wonderful two-week stay in Paris, thanks in no small part to this wonderful apartment in this wonderful neighborhood. We have been perfectly comfortable here, with everything we could want—a lovely kitchen, a comfortable bed, lots of storage space, quick responses from Gail when we have had a question or problem. Half the fun of staying here has been exploring some of the wonderful restaurants in the neighborhood. We have marvelled over how there can be so many excellent eateries within such a small area. Some of the restaurants we have loved the most are not in the book that comes with the apartment, so I will list those that are missing: La Belle Mere Qui Fume, Bistro Poulbot, Bistro de Maquis, La Cafe de la Butte, Jeanne B, Le Mandigotte, Le Tracteur Rouge. Thank you Gail and the Perfectly Paris team for a wonderful place to stay!

Eamonn and Margaret O'Hagan – Belfast, Ireland 8 March 2015 A great week in Paris. Great food, great wine, (mostly) great weather and a great apartment. Thank you all at PerfectlyParis for another bonne vacances

Kathis and Jack Massey – Australia 13 February 2015 This has been our second stay at Elegance at Lamarck and this time we have been here for four weeks. We love everything about it! The apartment is extremely spacious, comfortable and warm, and perfectly located. We also love the friendly neighbourhood with lots of great bars, cafes, bistrots etc... Having the metro across the street makes it so easy to get to just about anywhere in Paris. Gail, Georgina and Charin have all been fantastic in every way and we will recommend PerfectlyParis to all of our friends. We are sorry to be leaving and we are already looking forward to our next visit. Thanks to PP for everything!

Ann and Steve – Oregan, USA 17 January 2015 We have had an incredible month staying in Paris at Elegance at Lamarck. We have felt cosy and at home in this spacious apartment. There are many restaurants in the neighbourhood we have enjoyed – especially Le Bon Georges, Chez Ginette, La Table de Eugene, Le Petit Villiers and look forward to Neva Cuisine tonight. We have travelled everywhere by metro, even late at night, and are always glad to exit so close to the apartment. Everyone has been super friendly and helpful – PerfectlyParis, shopkeepers, museum guides etc....We had a great time and shared many experiences and memories. Sharing “Je suis Charlie” with the French people was both distressing and historic. A happy and safe new year for all of us. Merci! Ron and Lou Polson – Australia 9 September 2014 This was not our first – but will be our last visit to Paris from Australia, so we were hoping for a really positive and memorable “ swan song”! PerfectlyParis....Gail and your amazing team ensured from our first contact with you that things would go well – they HAVE! Rue Lamarck- best ever home away from home. Montmartre – loved the area, very close to the metro. Our arrival – Perfect! Thanks Charin. Read the info folder in the apartment, choc full of helpful info – Brilliant! Loved the Montmartre to Pigalle bus....a great slice of local life. And – for any Aussies who are desperate for a real latte – go to K.B café. Tabac and bar across the road very friendly and a great place for a post-sightseeing beer! Thanks PP!

Lilia and Tom – CA, USA 9 October 2014 Goodbye Montmartre! Thank you Gail and your team for a wonderful stay. This has been my home away from home. Such a lovely experience and sad to leave. PerfectlyParis – such an appropriate description of this place. A bientot!

John and Michelle William - USA 9 September 2014 I was a bit worried that Montmartre would be too far away from the center of action but we thoroughly enjoyed staying in this part of the city and in this apartment. Future residents should consider taking a Montmartre walking tour. We enjoyed shopping for food on Rue Caulaincourt. Recommend La Cave wine shop at #47. The owner made good, low cost recommendations.

Holmes family – CA, USA 4 July 2014 We have really enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect for getting around the city. Thank you to Georgina for the welcome and showing us where everything was. We are sure to come back again. Hannah Weaver – New Jersey, USA 27 June 2014 Absolutely adorable little apartment! I especially loved the large windows that overlooked the hustle and bustle of Montmartre. It was also super close to the metro which was excellent. But out of everything that I liked about the apartment, my favourite thing was the red couch. I always looked forward to cozying up on it after a long day!

Chris and Trevor Bond – Adelaide, Australia May 2014 We have had a lovely stay at Elegance at Lamarck. Lovely neighbourhood, everything close and convenient, especially the metro. Too short of a stay, but hopefully we will return. The apartment was very comfortable and had all that we needed.

Jill Kropf – Canada 13 May 2013 This was my 5th time booking a PerfectlyParis apartment but the 1st time staying at Elegance at Lamarck. The apartment is lovely and boasts a great location. The only thing that was missing on the holiday was the weather – rain, rain and more rain!! The apartment’s parapluie was a godsend! Kathie & Jack Massey – Australia January-February 2014 My husband and I have recently returned from 19 nights in Paris during January/February 2014 staying at the Perfectly Paris apartment 'Elegance at Lamarck' in Montmartre. The apartment and neighbourhood were just wonderful, and the service provided by Gail Boisclair of Perfectly Paris, and Georgina, our 'greeter', was impeccable. From my first enquiry to the end of our stay, Gail's responses were always incredibly prompt, helpful and friendly. Georgina was waiting for us on arrival and provided a comprehensive induction to the apartment and the neighbourhood. In addition, a very useful binder of detailed information was provided. The apartment was terrific - spacious, attractive, comfortable, very well equipped, filled with natural light and in a wonderful location. The bedroom was very quiet and the heating and constant hot water for our mid-winter stay were excellent. The Lamarck-Caulaincourt metro station is immediately across the street, and the area is full of cafes, bistros, patisseries, boulangeries, fromageries, grocery shops and every service you could possibly need. We have rented apartments six times in recent years in various arrondissements of Paris from several different rental agencies, but 'Elegance at Lamarck' and the Perfectly Paris agency are now our favourites. We're looking forward to returning. John and Erin Hopkins – California, USA 27 October 2013 We had a wonderful eight days here in Paris. The apartment is perfect and so is the neighbourhood. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay in Paris. We look forward to coming back to this apartment and will recommend it to our friends. It is a lovely Parisienne apartment. We used the metro everyday, taking a trip to Versailles, and most of the other beautiful sites in the city. Edna Sanclemente and Francheska Loza – Texas, USA

1 September 2013 This apartment surpassed our expectations. Everything about it was perfectly what we looked for and more. The small touches like wine bottle, assortment of books and free calls abroad made us free very welcome and now we don't want to leave. We surely hope to come back to this beautiful place in the future and will make sure to recommend it to family and friends. Both Gail and Georgina were amazing! Thank you for the lovely week. P.S The sofa bed was incredibly comfortable. Bob and Erin McCorkindale – Ontario, Canada 27 August 2013 Elegance at Lamarck is definitely “Home is where the heart is”! Absolutely PerfectlyParis! We've enjoyed every single minute! We highly recommend going to Giverny and Versailles for a couple of out of town trips. Thanks Paris! Hailey, Mary and Mike - Minnesota, USA 10 July 2013 We have enjoyed our stay in Paris so much. Thank you for everything. The neighbourhood was perfect! Busy during the day and quiet at night. Having the metro right across the street is very convenient. We recommend that you spend a day at one of the beautiful parks. It's great to just sit and relax. The restaurants were of great service and had very tasty food. This apartment was beautiful and we are planning to stay here if we ever come back. Thank you again The Knights – Vancouver, Canada June 2013 Gail and Lara, thank you so much for making it easy to love Elegance at Lamarck. Every aspect of our Paris vacation was “perfect”, thanks in large part to our apartment, its great location, and all the amenities it offered. We loved Montmartre and were happy that we did not listen to naysayers who told us not to stay “so far” from the center of Paris. We will definitely recommend PerfectlyParis. Merci! Russell and Joyce Simon, USA June 2013 Dear Gail, Paris has been most welcoming and beautiful. We have seen so much during our stay. The people of Paris have been very kind and helpful, they are a happy people! Elegance at Lamarck was a perfect place to end our journey. Au revoir. Hope to come back some day! Anne and John Murray – Australia 15 June 2013 Dear Gail, Thanks so much. We've had a fantastic week in our favorite part of Paris and in your great apartment Thanks for all your help and advice before and during our stay. It's been just great and we hope to return – hopefully not too far in the distant future. Marianne and Joanne – Canada June 2013 Fantastic place. We left our reviews to the last minute, just before the car arrived. So in a nutshell, my sister and I loved it and would highly recommend it to others, as our friends did to us. Cathy and Gary – Brisbane, Australia May 2013

Thank you for a wonderful few days in your apartment. Very comfortable and convenient. I wish I could stay a month. A special recommendation for restaurant Gariguette 69 rue Caulaincourt. It has only been open for a few months but the food was superb and the host very obliging and friendly. Matthew and Rekha – Geneva May 2013 We felt at home as soon as we entered this lovely apartment! What a gem – and the location is superb. It was my first visit to Paris and PerfectlyParis made it very special. Thank you. We will be back. Kathryn and Mick – UK March 2013 Here we are again! Another enjoyable stay in Paris, cold but dry. Good meal at Jolie Boheme and Au Relais on Rue Lamarck. John and Donna – New York, USA January 2013 We have had the opportunity to travel to Paris 3 times in the past year, and will be making another visit shortly. Our son is studying there so we have a terrific excuse! Paris is a wonderful city, full of sites, food, wine, people watching, we love it there. During our last 2 visits we decided to stay in an apartment rather than a hotel. What a wonderful difference. It's so nice to be able to wake up and not rush or return "home" and relax after a long day of walking and sightseeing. We used PerfectlyParis.com/Gail Boisclair. Everyone we have encountered at perfectlyparis.com has been knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Gail's apartments (we have stayed in two different ones) each have their own unique "Parisian" personalities. We found them to be neat, clean, very "Parisian", and easily accessible and a nice retreat during our visits. Gail and her staff are all extremely helpful, there when you need assistance and full of helpful information. We cannot say enough good things about them and we would highly recommend Gail, her staff and the apartments through perfectlyparis.com for any visit to Paris. We've had a wonderful visit to Paris – third time this year, always something new! Loved this apartment and the neighbourhood, a great place to spend our holidays. Thank you all! Au revoir for now! Mary and Johnny - Ottawa, Canada December 2012 We had an amazing 3 weeks in Paris! The apartment is in a perfect spot and neighbourhood. We highly recommend the restaurant L'Etoile at the bottom of the stairs. The owners are great! We also enjoyed excellent dinners at Jolie Boheme, which you can see from the apartment window. The lamb is superb. Joel and Ginnie – USA 23 November 2012 Bonjour future residents of Elegance At Lamarck. After 11 nights of many baguettes, many cheeses, dozens of pastries, hundreds of cornichons and gallons and gallons of wine, noisettes at the Refuge, and that sweet unpasteurized French milk, it is sadly time to depart! As others have mentioned it was a pleasure to make this our home while here in the city of lights, it well and truly became so! We ate all of our breakfast here in the neighborhood and a good number of French meals. We watched hours of late night bad/awesome French pop videos. We felt the sweet relief of coming home while walking across Lamarck from the Metro. We will miss it! A few practical items/recommendations:

• On the first night, poke around everywhere, every drawer and every door. You may find something you would otherwise need to buy.

• It pays to read the info book for the apartment. • Gail is very helpful if worse comes to worse. • Ginnie is a vegetarian and locally, “Hope Café” and “Le Gabin” were very good spots with many

more options than the standard “Chevre chaud salade”. • “La Divette” on Rue Marcadet became Joel's local, a fun and divey spot to watch soccer, listen to

50's American rock and roll and drink French beer served by a fantastic and very friendly barman. • “Le Cepage”, a quite good late night dining option. • The woman at the Post office upstairs very friendly and helpful. Susan and John – Austin, Texas 20 August 2012 We celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary here at your apartment on Rue Lamarck. It was a perfect place to do it. The neighborhood was lovely, the people friendly and Sacre Coeur at 9am is empty and lovely! I recommend that you go up early to avoid all crowds. The washer/dryer was a problem – maybe you could put up better instructions in English? And butter provided in the kitchen would be very helpful! The bed so comfortable, the kitchen, living room all was great! Catherine, Josée and James – Oakville, Ontorio, Canada 31 July 2012 Put simply, we love Paris and can't wait to come back! Sissel and Inge – Norway 26 July 2012 We have had a wonderful week in Paris. The weather has been perfect and we have seen so much of Paris. This apartment is the perfect place to live in Paris, we are so satisfied. Thank you so much. Fara, Elham, Sarah and Elisa – California, USA 12 July 2012 We spent 9 nights in this apartment. The apartment is comfortable and clean and it is also very roomy and spacious (for Paris standards). Paris is a beautiful city and there is a lot to do. We need to come back again to see more. Food is delicious but expensive. We did cook in the apartment too, which is well equipped in the kitchen. If you eat out, expect a long wait before your order is taken (the waiters do take there time!). Thank you PerfectlyParis. Maill Family – Canberra, Australia 4 July 2012 A wonderful four nights in this lovely apartment ! Nowhere near enough ! Perfect weather to enjoy this special city. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a memorable family time. Carol 30 Juin 2012 Aujourd'hui, on part et c'est mon 37ieme anniversaire! On a fait des moments mémorables et formidables! Merci pour tout; tout était super! C’était un voyage inoubliable. Bill and Betty – Tucson, AZ, USA 30 June 2012

This apartment felt like home plus the arrangement for us was perfect. Our daughter was our “guide” as she is a French teacher. The living room bed was very comfortable and became her mini apartment! We loved looking out our tall windows at the tree outside. Our favorite bakery was the one out the door to the left, across the street from our favorite fruit stand. We'll definitely miss all the little shops with fresh, fresh food! The fruit, as always, perfectly ripe. And of course, Paris. Love it! Steve – Wyoming, USA 24 May 2012 A wonderful, wonderful time. So glad to have a retreat to kick back after being a tourist all day. This is such a comfortable apartment which great amenities. You have made this all too good to be true! Anna and Bruce – Australia 18 May 2012 Fantastic apartment and fantastic location!! We recommend spending a day just walking around here. Lots to see and a great way to familiarize yourself with what's on offer in the neighborhood. Wonderful pastries! The metro across the street makes getting around a breeze. Be careful at St Lazare station – we had our wallet stolen there. Had dinner at the two restaurants mentioned on the previous page – make sure you go – FABULOUS. We've thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this great apartment and will be recommending this place to our friends who may be coming to Paris. We home to return some day soon. Caroline and Gavry - Canada 28 April 2012 Paris in springtime and PerfectlyParis were perfect for us. The apartment is very well appointed with nothing we needed to buy. A bottle of red on arrival - such a nice touch. We love the shops on rue Caulaincourt and the people at Michaux Ferret - the ready-made food shop were very helpful and the food very good. Lui l'Insolent was very very good (15 rue Caulaincourt) and it is definitely worth going down the hill to Restaurant Miroir (94, rue des Martyrs) for the tasting menu. It was the best meal in Paris! Le Refuge for coffee and croissants and a very good croque monsieur. We'll miss our little French home! Cletta and Richard – Canada 26 April 2012 From the moment I walked into the apartment, I was in love. So much character, great furnishings, and a cute little kitchen. We absolutely love Paris and spent a great deal of time shopping on this trip. I think I will definitely miss Printemps and Galeries Lafayette! We made use of the kitchen and cooked almost all of our meals, so no recommendations, but definitely make time for hot chocolate and a pastry at Angelina. Absolute heaven! I am already looking forward to another visit. The Earles – UK 22 February 2012 Very comfortable and a great location with so many tasty things close at hand. Found the Montmartrobus very useful as well as the No. 95 bus direct to the Louvre. Always a pleasure to return back here after our various trips. Le Refuge very convenient and friendly as well as good value and agree about the quality of Lui l'Insolent. John – Adelaide, Australia 6 January 2012 I have spent the past 12 weeks here and had a wonderful time. The location is ideal, the amenities all you need and it has plenty of space. Despite spending 3 months here, I still haven't begun to

encompass all that Paris offers, so another extended visit is in the cards. This area has a great feel, plenty of shops for food, wine, cleaning, books, pharmacy supplies, hairdressing – whatever you need, it's here – and of course the restaurants! Chez Ginette and Le Refuge became by regulars for a quick bite. I enjoyed La Mandigotte in rue Lepic and Le Sagittaire just down the road in rue Lamarck, offers excellent value and nice owners. The little Café de la Butte on Caulaincourt is also nice (currently undergoing renovations). If you want a movie house with a difference, try Studio 28 on rue Tholozé. Just a one-screen place with a nice bar/café and great ambiance. My time here was helped by the professionalism of Gail and Preston, who do a fabulous job. I have got very used to my little home in rue Lamarck and I'm going to miss it. I spent three months in Paris in late 2011, staying at the Elegance at Lamarck apartment. It was a wonderful base, with a quiet bedroom and a very large living area, located in a perfect position opposite Metro Lamarck-Caulaincourt. Open the living room curtains and you watch the world go by, as people head up the stairs of Rue de la Fontaine du But towards the Metro. Just out your front door you have two friendly eateries in Le Refuge and Chez Ginette, both of which were among my haunts. The post office is next to the front door, and the lady there is very helpful. The whole Montmartre area is wonderful to explore and to experience, and it has superb small shops of all kinds – whatever you need, it’s here. Despite the many temptations of food and drink, you will stay fit, as the area is all up hill and down dale, and there are also the many steps to negotiate through the Paris Metro system. A hint: if you’re staying a while, get yourself a Navigo card for Zones 1-2, which saves having to buy individual tickets or carnets. You can charge it for a week or a month. Above all, you will have a reliable, professional and immensely helpful service from Gail and Preston, both before and during your stay. Gail’s responses to my emails were always prompt and provided the information I needed. Booking and payment were efficiently handled, as was the prompt return of my security deposit. You can trust what the web site says about the apartments. I’ve been very impressed by Perfectly Paris, have recommended them to friends, and will be using them again for my next stay in Paris. Kath and Jim Hendersen – Western Australia 14 October 2011 Lovely little apartment. It has a great location. Close to transport. We used the metro to travel all over Paris. We recommend you purchase a carnet for use on the metro. You can get these from Tabac shops or the metro. Rodin Museum, Musee d'Orsay, Louvre and even the local museums were great. If you read the literature provided there are more things to do than you have time for and another trip is always needed. This is our 4th trip and we need to come again. The Pinker-Darlings – Toronto, Canada 2 July 2011 The place was great. We all enjoyed ourselves here and having the metro and les patisseries nearby. The pull out couch/bed was a little uncomfortable but we still got the rest we needed. We enjoyed sitting by the window and listening to the music playing by the restaurant down below. Overall, it was good. Thanks. Christine 19 April-3 May 2011 I agree! This became our home after exploring almost all parts of Paris by metro and on food. We loved to arrive back here – to see Le Refuge still buzzing late at night, to see the flowers across the road hanging on the lamppost. Montmartre is the best part of Paris. Paul 19 April-3 May 2011

We have spent two fabulous weeks in this beautiful apartment, in this beautiful neighborhood, walking amongst the streets and climbing the hills. Le Lapin Agile is delightful, so are the baguettes from the many artisan boulangers. We hope to return. Diana (Perth Australia) and Ecaterina (Bacau, Romania) 5-20 January 2011 We spent two lovely weeks in Montmartre enjoying the spectacle of life walking down to “Le Grenier à Pain” to get fresh bread and pastries was an absolute delight. The apartment is located close to everything and we really liked being able to go out for a stroll. Mike and Maryke – Canberra, Australia 16 December-5 January 2011 This is our third visit to Montmartre (and not our last). Our first Christmas in Paris and New Year in Cannes. The location of the apartment is 'perfect' – directly opposite the metro – wonderful after walking the streets of Paris. We found the post office handy as well, not to mention our bank's ATM just up the street. We spent 5x days away down south in Cannes and it was great to come “home” and melt back into the rhythm of the village life of Montmartre. Many thanks to Gail and Preston for their generous time and assistance to make our stay, across 3x PerfectlyParis apartments as smooth as possible. Merci beaucoup. Debbie and Francois – Toronto, Canada 5 November 2010 Although this was our 6th visit to Paris in 6 years, we were still able to find new places and revisit favorite ones. At least now we have learned not to constantly look at a map, just look at the details of the beautiful buildings and monuments and dream, always, if owning our own piece of Paris. If is also so hard to keep your eyes off the shops which have so many beautiful things (or delicious!) to sell – something for everyone. This time we spent a good visit in the brocante at St. Ouen and found a great deal of Baccarat glassware. This year it was just the two of us celebrating our 50th birthdays that recently passed. Of course, Gail, who is so very thoughtful thought that Champagne and the best chocolates in Paris should be here on arrival – she is such a terrific person. This apartment is quite lovely, a good layout, with lots of great good to choose from. Restaurants, caterers and other stores to pick up food to cook yourself. It was fun to watch the chef across the stairway prepare food for the restaurant and see pedestrian traffic climb those long stairs to Lamarck, take a deep breath and continue to Caulaincourt. It is also great to walk up to Sacre Coeur at night, which is always a-buzz with tourists. We were able to easily keep in touch with family back home through the phone services and check e-mail by going to the Internet cafes on Custine. If you are looking for 'deals' on clothes, go to places near Place des Vosges (some are open to public), the St. Ouen flea market, rue Magenta and Ave de Clichy. There are some sales to be had on St. Germain but it tends to be very pricey. If you like antiques, look between St. Michel and Musée d'Orsay (closer to museum) and Marché aux Puces de St. Ouen. They will deal a fair bit. Down the stairs from the apartment is rue de Poteau with excellent foods of all kinds and you can pick up pre-cooked too so that you don't have to fuss with cooking.

Books- Mona Lisait – there are lots in and around Paris (Bonne Nouvelle, near Les Halles)... I found the best tourist trinkets and souvenirs near Abbesses (right down from Sacre Coeur) and rue de Rivoli. That's all folks – enjoy and be romantic – that's what it's really about. Au revoir. Chuck & Joe – South Carolina, USA September 2010 About 10 years ago, Joe and I decided, on a whim, to go to Paris for 2 weeks. We booked our reservations through a local travel agency. That was the beginning of a love affair with Paris and ultimately led to annual visit to the city going every September to celebrate Joe's birthday. We continued booking for hotel and air transportation with our local agent until one fortuitous day we discovered www.perfectlyparis.com and that changed our Parisian life forever. We have been using their amazing services for nearly 8 years now. We started by using a delightful and quaint apartment called "the Cottage", located in a equally quaint courtyard. Then we had a series of different apartments each year until we discovered "Elegance at Lamarck" That was it and we have staid there each year for about the last 4 years. It is spacious by any standard and located perfectly with the Metro across the street and an ATM right up the stairs and the Post Office right by the door. We have found our home in Paris. Without a doubt Gail and Preston and their families have given us the gift of the real Paris for which we will be eternally grateful. Each apartment that we have had has been well appointed, beautiful, and equipped with all the things that you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable and pleasureful. The service provided by Perfectly Paris is in every way professional, highly competent, and flawless. Each apartment is equiped with a notebook that provides all the info that one needs to enjoy the city and Montmartre (Mischelin, eat your heart out). Gail and Preston have introduced us to the "village" of Montmartre and now we feel more at home there that we do in Lexington, our home. As you can see, we are the most avid fans of Perfectly Paris in the world. We constantly refer friends, aquaintancies, and even strangers as soon as we hear them utter the word Paris. We could never thank Gail and Preston and their friends for all that they have given us. We have made friends that we will treasure forever. Chuck White and Joe Estes, Lexington, SC USA Rick & Jan - Melbourne, Australia 1-10 September 2010 We returned and feel like rue Lamarck was home! Great way to really feel part of Paris and not so much an outsider! Found a fabulous restaurant Bistrot Poulbot, 39 rue Lamarck, just up the hill in rue Lamarck mentioned in the Michelin Guide 2010 - we were the only non-French customers and the food is wonderful. Phone number: 01 46 06 86 00 - really worth a visit and perhaps a mention in the PerfectlyParis information book. Also, I suggest it's worth taking the metro to Jules Joffrin - walking through the market streets and then coming home here every evening in your stay and having a really good idea of what's around. Personally, the lapin terrine from the boucherie in rue Caulaincourt (to the left as you leave apartment) is the best we have tasted. We will be back! Thank you. Jan and Rick – Melbourne, Australia 15-18 August 2010 Wonderful start to our holidays in France. Will be looking forward to our return in September. This is a fabulous base from which to explore. Let's hope the rain eases and we have blue skies on our return. A bientot, we're off to explore the South East in canals. Susan, Peter, Spencer and Jacqueline – Victoria, Canada 12 July 2010 The six days in Paris with my family of 4 was all that we wished for and more. The neighborhood and apartment suited our needs. The main bedroom was my tranquil spot after long days of touring the

city. Having the metro station across the street was an added bonus- we could get to any part of the city with ease. Rosanna and Helen – Aberdeen, Scotland 11 June 2010 Bonjour! Thank you very much for a fab 'wee' break in Paris! Loved it. Merci beaucoup. Kathlyn and Stanley Rosenthal – Detroit, MI, USA 26 May 2010 Every aspect of our two weeks in Paris was wonderful. Gail and her colleagues provided much more than we expected and every detail was covered. The apartment was extremely well equipt and any problem, if we had had one, was a phone call away. There were lists of restaurants which were quite useful, information on all the services in the Montmarte neighborhood and instructions for travelling around the city. We have told our travel agent to put Perfectly Paris on their list of highly recommended sites and we urge you to do the same. This apartment made it feel that we weren't tourists – we became part of the community of Montmartre. Shopping, buying the paper every morning and using the metro every day... we became Parisians. It really turned out to be “Elegant on Lamarck”. Thanks to Gail and Preston. Bill Watson – Adelaide, South Australia 11 May 2010 What a fabulous time made possible by the very convenient apartment. Many thanks – we hope to return soon. Au revoir. Gary and Noreen – NY, USA 2 May 2010 We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 days in Paris at Elegance at Lamarck. What an exciting neighborhood. But the prices of food and entertainment - wow! We hope to return someday. William and Robyn – Australia 20 October 2009 Thoroughly enjoyed our apartment stay we have had a wonderful time finding our way around Paris – having the metro so handy made travelling around so easy. The lift was wonderful! Enjoyed the streets and sights of Montmartre. Anna and Pete – Newcastle upon Tyne, England 6 October 2009 Great apartment in a great location. We love Montmartre! Had a fab time sightseeing and were lucky enough to go to the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp, which was fantastic. Apartment was cosy with everything you could need. We look forward to coming back to Paris again soon. Chuck and Joe – Lexington, SC, USA

30 September 2009 This is like our home away from home. No doubt, it is the most convenient apartment and we love it. Thank you, the owners, for sharing it with us. Leanne and Carly – Toronto, Canada 24 August 2009 Amazing! We will recommend this apartment to our friends. Perfect location. Have a great time. Thanks. Evelyn – Scotland 11 August 2009 Loved staying in the apartment and the surrounding area. We'll be back again soon. Sandy – St. Albert, Alberta, Canada 11 July 2009 This apartment is lovely and everything I had hoped for. After days of meetings and presentations, it was the perfect refuge to return to. Its location across from the metro made it a perfect base from which to explore Paris. Once we forced ourselves to leave the neighborhood that is. I will highly recommend PerfectlyParis to my friends and of course 74, rue Lamarck! John, Carolyn, Hope and Mary 4 July 2009 Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. This was definitely the highlight of our two-week vacation. We loved our lovely home away from home. It was truly delightful – thank you Preston for our warm and informative welcome. We loved the apartment!! Erik and Shoshana – Montreal, Quebec, Canada 24 June 2009 The apartment was everything we had hoped it would be: home (away from home), refuge, cozy nest. The convenience of the metro, the friendliness of the shopkeepers, the fabulous vibe of the neighborhood: all made for a wonderful trip to a wonderful city. Alastair and Shannon – Nova Scotia, Canada 6 June 2009 The apartment is wonderful – just as we had hoped. Enhanced by our fabulous week à Paris to have such a comfortable “home” to return to. Merci beaucoup! We will recommend you to friends and hope to return ourselves (soon!). Diane and Christian – Bermuda 29 May 2009 We had a fantastic visit here in Paris. Your apartment and the entire area of Montmartre was a pleasure to explore and enjoy. Thank you for your hospitality, we will recommend the area and your flat to our friends anytime they are coming to Paris. Ariel, Agostina, Lola and Julian – Buenos Aires, Argentina 11 January 2009

We have spent wonderfully these 4 days in Paris, where your cozy apartment became our “home”. It's been great to arrive here at night and be able to rest comfortably (and warmly) after a tiring all-day-long walk down and up the magnificent streets of this freezing (in January) but charming city. Everything is perfect, except maybe that it took us a while to learn how to lot the toilet's door. Anyway, we'll surely contact you when we plan to return. Merci! Christine and Richard – Scotland 8 December 2008 We have enjoyed our stay here in Paris. The apartment is beautiful, warm and comfortable. Will tell friends and family how lovely it is. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay. Peter and Joni – Hemlock, NY, USA 6 November 2008 Everything we expected and more. Thank you so much for providing such a lovely home away from home. The neighborhood is delightful. Gail- thanks for all your help and advice. Michelle – Vancouver, Canada November 2008 Thank you for sharing this amazing apartment. From the moment I walked into it, it felt cozy and warm. I loved watching the people walking up and down the stairs and the area is interesting. The markets and specialty stores are amazing. The owners of the flat have done an outstanding job decorating job. What a lovely place to call home for a never to forget week in Paris. I will be back. Chuck and Joe – Lexington, SC, USA 7 October 2008 Each visit to Paris is made more perfect by PerfectlyParis and all our friends – as last year this is the perfect apartment for us. Lunch on the patio was the event of the day each time we ventured out! Complete strangers stopped and chatted. It just doesn't get any better than that. Jan, Zachary, Di and Ian – New Zealand 10 September 2008 Magnifique! What a charming place to stay! We all enjoyed so much sitting in the small balcony at the end of a day's adventure with a wine (or two) and speaking to the people who were continually going up or down the stairs. We would say in this apartment again if we are fortunate enough to travel to France from far-away New Zealand in the future. G and I – Israel 30 July 2008 It was our second vacation in Paris and it is much more successful than previous one in hotel. This is comfortable and a quiet flat. We enjoyed here very much. Thanks. Sylvia and Andy – Western Australia 29 May 2008 Having visited Paris once before in 1996, and seen most of the sights, the apartment at Lamarck absolutely fitted the bill for us by allowing us to get away from the madding crowd and experience some of the ‘real’ Paris. Two memorable encounters were with Sylvie and the quirky hat shop two doors down and Sylvia of Sylvia’s Soulier in Abbesses who has been selling shoes from the same shop for 29 years. Thank you so much for providing us with the opportunity to feel that we have ‘lived in Paris’.

Susan and John Bazin – London 17 May 2008 We’ll be back soon. This is such a comfortable flat in an excellent location. We especially appreciated the fact that there is soap and salt, dish detergent, and toilet paper – all those basics which make domestic life easy. The resource book is also excellent with clear and helpful directions and suggestions. We found Montmartre delightful, as the book says, as soon as we wandered away from the crowds and into the side streets. We thank you and look forward to a return.

The Bowes Family – NY, USA 20 February 2008 We loved this charming apartment. There was nothing like coming to a great apartment after a long flight. We visited all of the commercial sights, but this area of Montmartre was a definite favorite. Sacre Coeur had amazing views, however would not recommend restaurants in the Sacre-Coeur commercial area. Our personal favorite was Au Relais. We cannot wait to return and are very sad to be leaving! Kate Story – Edinburgh, Scotland 13 February 2008 Hello! Enjoyed staying in this apartment tres much. Le Refuge is fab. Loved all the fabric shops at the bottom of the Sacre Coeur (a short walk from here). All the restaurants around that area are magnifique! It’s great having the metro right at the door. Particularly loved Galeries Lafayette (department store), going up the Eiffel Tower at night is great, brilliant views! The various boulangeries were also convenient, great holiday, would definitely come back! Randy Fetcher – St. Louis, MO, USA January 2008 Many thanks. Great apartment. Many things to make me feel at home!! Thank you. Laura Tsudome – NY, USA 31 December 2007 My family and I really enjoyed it here for the week. We are from New York and I myself have never been to Paris so this is my first place I have stayed in!! When I first walked into this place I thought it was the cutest little place I have ever seen before, the little fireplace, the view of the stairs outside the window in the living room, the kitchen and the bathroom separate from the toilet! The next family will probably not know how to flush the toilet! I’m her 16-year-old sister and yup, this place is incroyable. Paris est très belle et j’espère revenir à la future. Bonne année ! And best wishes to all who stay here. Anne Bentley – Washington, DC, USA 15 December 2007 The apartment was fantastic. Comfortable and convenient. Thanks for the hospitality. I will definitely return. After 6 weeks it is rather difficult to leave. This feels like home. The Watsons and Stobbs – England 31 October 2007

Superb location – we love Montmartre. Very comfortable apartment – everything we needed was here. I highly recommend eateries: Il Fratello (32, rue des Trois Freres) and l’Anatolie (57, rue Caulaincourt), Turkish and charming staff. Chuck and Joe – Lexington, SC, USA 19 September 2007 As always – the perfect apartment for us. The Weavers 15 September 2007 We enjoyed our stay of six days – this makes a convenient base for exploring with the metro stop just across the street. We recommend Chez Ginette just up the stairs for tasty food, reasonable prices and friendly service. Off to the South of France with hopes to return in the future. The Folmer Family – UK 18 August 2007 Many thanks for a great apartment. Clean and with all the amenities we needed. Very convenient location too - so handy for the metro. The whole family had a wonderful time. The internet has been quite a savior - kept the children amused and very helpful for quick references to local facilities. Fabio & Arianna - Rome, Italy 8 August 2007 We have had a very nice holiday. The apartment is conveniently location and efficiently equipped. The position in front of the metro and 5 minute’s walking to Montmartre are the best things we will remember. Enjoyed by all. We will recommend this accommodation to other families visiting Paris. Madeline Rose Hile – Seattle, WA, USA 29 June 2007 I, Madeline Hile, youngest of the little crew declare this the best place I’ve ever stayed on a trip. My sister and I enjoyed watching the Lord of the Rings and other movies before bed. We also liked being able to come back here after a long day out in the city. But personally, my favorite touch was the winding, carpeted staircase leading down here. Before I go, I would like to recommend Gyro’s (across the street then walk to the right a bit) it makes the most delicious sandwiches plus the guy who works there is really nice. The Jeppesens (from Utah, temporarily in Ohio), USA 23 June 2007 We loved our time at Lamarck! I can’t count how many times one of us commented on what a good find the apartment was. We especially loved the convenience of stepping off the metro and being home…especially after climbing the 668 stairs to the 2nd level of Eiffel Tower. Thanks. Deans from Zurich (originally from San Francisco) 14 June 2007 Had a great time! So convenient. The apartment was cute. Thanks. The Roe Family – Naples, FL, USA 3 June 2007

Just what we needed. Kept the boys occupied in the evening with the DVD and the adults happy with the nightlife and location. Wish we had more time. The Miles Family – Seattle, WA, USA 26 May 2007 Thanks for such a comfortable stay. We would definitely do it again!! Janet, Simon & boys – The Hague, Netherlands 19 May 2007 A wonderful short stay. Books and maps much appreciated for wet afternoons. In love with the boulangerie 200 meters up from left of apartment. Many thanks for accommodating us. Best regards. Andrew & Lucy (and kids!) - Australia 12 May 2007 Dear Gail, thank you very much for providing such a wonderful apartment – looks like you have thought about everything. Certainly the best time we’ve had in Paris. Will definitely be recommending you to our friends and hopefully be back ourselves some day. Vern & Monique – Chelsea, Quebec 29 April 2007 Gail - Vern and I were very happy to finally meet you. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here. The apartment is great and was a wonderful way to finish our month in France. We sat on the little terrace having a glass of wine and discussed all the landscaping ideas to make a small but delightful corner. Again, merci beaucoup! The Passmores – Brisbane, Australia 29 April 2007 We have had a wonderful stay in Paris. The apartment was well appointed and we really appreciated the shopping trolley and information about the area. The girls have fallen in love with Paris and the village life of Montmartre. We will be back! Cindy Hamilton, Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada 30 March 2007 Gail, thank you for being so nice and helping me get all set up on the net. I love Montmartre! I felt so at home here. I hope to be back again, only this time with my husband. I love Paris! I love it all. Kristy Shorter – Edinburgh, Scotland, UK 15 February 2007 Loved the few days spent here. Was finally able to practice my French a bit although not to great effect. I think most of the French I tried it on shook their heads in confusion or answered in English. Had great fun trying out all the different boulangeries around the apartment (there are so many!) and enjoyed every one of them! Had fun getting lost on the metro and loved just taking in Paris on food which really gives you a better feel for the place. Merci beaucoup! Emma & Kirsty - Scotland 15 February 2007 Fantastic! This was a great holiday, brilliant apartment. The metro on your doorstep. Le Refuge, food, markets, clothes and billions of good bakeries, butchers and restaurants (especially the Lebanese,

right outside of the apartment). It’s been a brilliant stay and what more could you want? Thank you! Best holiday ever. Loved the few days we spent here. Was finally able to practice my French a bit although not to great effect! I think most of the French I tried it on, shook their heads in confusion and answered in English! Had great fun trying out all the different boulangeries around the apartment, there are so many! And enjoyed every one of them. Had fun getting lost on the metro and loved just taking in Paris on which really gives you better feel for the place. Merci beaucoup! Wayne & Tasha - Phoenix, AZ, USA 20 January 2007 Bonjour! It was the very best experience meeting Gail and her wonderful daughter, Yasmin, having lunch with them and of course, staying here. The stress of travel tempered by the comforts of home and such a great location. We look forward to our next visit and now count Gail, Preston, and Yasmin among our close circle of friends. Merci beaucoup and enjoy your stay here as well! The Watsons - UK 24 November 2006 A short visit this time but very enjoyable as usual. Just missed turning of the Christmas lights and Christmas markets. Perhaps another time!! The George Family - Dubai 25 October 2006 Thanks very much for making our holiday in Paris a memorable one. Thanks for going into great detail to make the stay of a family of four a very comfortable one. The apartment had all of the amenities that would meet the requirements of one and all. In short a “home away from home”. Chuck & Joe - South Carolina, USA 4 October 2006 As always PerfectlyParis is perfect! The Howards & Jenny Louis - UK 22 August 2006 Hi Gail, had a wonderful stay in your apartment. We all had a very enjoyable week especially in Montmartre. Hope to see you again soon. Au revoir. The Watsons - UK 14 August 2006 Our longest stay here - all very relaxing and enjoyable. Tried out a few different places to eat: the Lebanese place (turn right out of the apartment, it’s just a few doors down) was very good and the owner very welcoming. Maria, Michael Kuha, Hallie & Sophie - New Orleans, LA, USA 25 July 2006 We have had a wonderful time – only too short! The location is excellent and I only wish we had a little more time to enjoy the neighborhood. We have seen many of the great sites of Paris with our two daughters who are here for the first time! The apartment was “perfect” for us. We truly appreciated having all the basics available and very grateful for the laundry! We enjoyed take-out from the Lebanese traiteur up the street, and loved the Indian food at Darban. It really was “Perfectly Paris” and we hope to come again.

Carole, Bob, Eric, & Elizabeth Schulte - OR, USA 17 July 2006 Thank you for opening your house to us. This is our first trip to France and loved living in this area. What a wonderful experience to “live” among the locals. Gail and Preston were helpful and a pleasure to work with especially as we had some unexpected problems. What a beautiful city Paris is! Josi & Spencer + Marianne & Zinzi - CA, USA + Netherlands 8 July 2006 This was our first vacation that we rented apartments/cottages (we rented in Italy also) and we have decided this is how we will do it from now on. After staying in such a wonderful place as “Elegance at Lamarck”, who could want to do it any other way? There were 4 of us here (2 US’ers and 2 Dutchies) and my cousin (one of the Dutchies) has also been converted. She kept commenting on what a great location it is, how spacious it is, how everything we could need is provided for, how comfortable it is, how convenient the metro, cafés, shops, La Poste, etc. are and all we could do is agree, agree, agree! Preston & Gail were great - friendly, helpful, accommodating. The whole experience was so positive! To future guests, make sure you take advantage of the great guide books that are here, pay attention to opening hours/days of shops (many in the shopping areas of Abbesses & Jules Joffrin were closed Monday or Tuesday) and spend plenty of time exploring the neighbourhoods that are not in the guide books (like this one). Thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Gill for sharing your wonderful Parisian home. And take the “ascenseur” (elevator) at the metro at least when you are carrying heavy bags! Andy & Jen - Liverpool, UK 28 June 2006 Just a quick e-mail to thank you for our stay at Elegance in June. What a fabulous apartment! So much easier than a hotel too when you've two kids with you. Even if our next visit is without the children we will be renting an apartment rather than staying in a hotel. We had a wonderful time and will certainly be using perfectly Paris again for our next visit to Paris although our next stay will be longer than just two nights. We've also recommended you to friends. Preston was great, showed us where everything was and made sure we were settled before he left. Finally, may I also say thanks for the arrangement you have with the car company. I usually use the metro and RER in preference of Parisian roads (regardless of how good your own driver is, there are plenty of other crazy people behind the wheel) but I don't think we would have made it to Orly at such an early hour using public transport. The Holmes & Lowery & Olsen 21 June 2006 This is a very wonderful apartment. Perfect for a break away from the hustle and bustle on the streets of Paris. This apartment is spacious and provides everything for anyone’s pleasure. This is so close to wonderful shops and very close to the metro. We went to see Versailles and due to the closeness of the metro, it was a lot shorter ride compared to others we have taken. Thank you so much for providing us comfort when it was much needed. Hopefully we will be back to enjoy this wonderfully spacious apartment. Thanks again. Roger, Karen, Alexander & Camilla - UK 1 June 2006 We all loved the apartment, location, local amenities, and the local film crew filming a TV show in the road and Le Refuge opposite! Your apartment is now a TV star! Had a great time in Paris and the apartment made it special. As someone more famous than I said, “We’ll be back.” Diane & Mike Young - Perth, Australia 29 May 2006

The best part of our visit was meeting Gail, a perfect person-delightful and efficient. The apartment was great in every way. The neighbourhood wonderful, the people friendly and helpful. We hope to be back next year. Suzi & Bill - Denver, CO, USA and Netherlands 15 May 2006 We loved the apartment. Safe, clean, quiet. We had a wonderful time in Paris and will return! The Watsons 11 April 2006 A lovely sunny week in Paris. Visited our favourite places and discovered some new ones – the Musée d’Art Contemporain at Vitry-sur-Seine and the Grands Boulevards (glass walkways with interesting shops). Had some lovely meals all within a short walk from the apartment too. Back soon! Lucy & Max - Moseley, UK 13 March 2006 We’ve had a great time here, fabulous location, discovered lots of new haunts. The only thing that would have made our stay better would be England learning to play rugby!! (Disastrous game yesterday). Thank you very much for all your help in organizing our visit. The Brownes - Melbourne, Australia 17 January 2006 We have had a splendid 5 days in this lovely apartment. It was everything we were hoping for after a long trip to finish off our vacation - very well located, comfortable and especially elegant! We certainly hope to be back “some day” (sadly it won’t be soon), in the meantime see if you can extend your range of apartments into the Left Bank!! It was so pleasant dealing with you, and everything we needed was here (the dishwasher is such a luxury after 6 weeks of washing dishes elsewhere!) The Watsons - UK 7 January 2006 A lovely break after Christmas. First time we’ve seen snow in Paris. Apartment as relaxing and wonderful as ever. We’ll be back soon. The Harms & The Silvas - Jersey & Colombia 29 December 2005 We had a wonderful time in Paris over Christmas. The apartment was extremely comfortable and very convenient. We’ll be sure to recommend it to friends. Best wishes. Rich & Jo Cosgrove - London, England 24 September 2005 Though not our first visit to the beautiful city of Paris, this time felt different and special, largely due to having such a lovely and welcoming apartment to stay in, rather than an impersonal hotel room. For the past week, we have enjoyed living as residents rather than tourists, actually feeling like a part of the city as we explored once again the many treasures, both obvious and hidden, of Montmartre. Merci beaucoup! We’ll be back! Bruce & Florence - Canada 18 September 2005

We enjoyed our stay in Paris. Thanks to you and all the thoughtful arrangements. This place exceeds our expectations. Things are more settled in American style. We love the kitchen set-up. All stuff is handy. The location is very convenient for transportation and grocery shopping. We feel it’s a home away from home. We appreciate that! We will come back someday. Hope by then there is a recycle box for the daily garbage. Merci beaucoup! Thanks very much! The Poteets - WA, USA 22 July 2005 Our 2-week stay has been a pleasure. This apartment never gets hot – the breeze blows through from window to window making it a good retreat on the most sweltering afternoon. We found a small treasure: a fossilized shell in the stone balustrade, facing the river, in front of the Musée d’Orsay. In a city of all these ancient treasures, this one was even older. Gary & Taanta Miles - Toronto, Canada 23 May 2005 Gail - you are the best - this apartment and your professionalism has opened up Paris in a whole new way. We have never enjoyed Paris as much - back soon! Rodger & Sue Van Rugge - Newcastle, Australia 13 May 2005 Enjoyed Paris and staying in your comfortable apartment. The weather has been perfect and the locals friendly. We will be back also. Bruce & Claire Stanger - Newcastle, Australia 9 May 2005 Have had a wonderful time in Paris. Montmartre is a wonderful place & to stay at 74, rue Lamarck has been great. We will be back! Patrice & Bill Karpinski - Phoenix, AZ, USA 29 April 2005 There's no place like home, there's no place like home. In this case, 74 rue Lamarck. The Watsons - UK 3 April 2005 This is our fourth visit - just as lovely as ever, weather a real bonus, even went home with a suntan! John, Barbara & Cara Gignoux - CA, USA 28 March 2005 We had the most wonderful time in Paris. We love Montmartre and this apartment in particular. We had everything we could possible need or want and the premises were comfortable, well stocked and immaculate. It really felt like home. Gail Boisclair was a great source of help & information & we are already planning our next visit to Paris! Merci beaucoup. Lori & Hamid Chaib - Chicago, Ill, USA 24 March 2005 Ooh la la- Merci beaucoup to Gail and Yetunde for helping to make Paris perfect! The apartment was just right - comfortable bed well equipped kitchen, CLEAN, and helpful guidebooks for Paris, internet

access and even a bottle of wine! Thank you! The location is excellent. After a long day of exploring Paris, one loved coming back to Montmartre! In one week, we have learned the entire metro station (almost) thanks to Lamarck-Caulaincourt #12 THANK YOU for all. Robin & Marianna Dodd - WA, USA 3-10 March 2005 Gail, thank you first for your kind assistance in finding the lovely apartment. Your website & telephone conversation made it so easy. Although we were surprised by the snow, it did not discourage us, but made for added stories to share back home. We found a new friend at the Vietnamese Pho Restaurant up the street who encouraged us to speak English and made a delicious Pho soup. Your kitchen was used several times to make some tasty meals with the fresh ingredients we found in the local markets. The metro station made our comings & goings so easy. We took the TGV to the Loire valley for a couple of days and #12 goes directly to Montparnasse. And my wife wants to add that the entire apartment was so clean and comfortable. She found it equally enjoyable. I appreciated the extremely comfortable bed that helped with the jet lag. Thank you again & again. We've posted our trips on the web at www.geocities.com/doddsinparis Ross & Kay Perry - Australia 28 September 2004 Our family has truly enjoyed our first wonderful week in FRANCE. The apartment was ideal for us - opposite the metro and superb bakeries close by. After one too many pastries, the steps around Montmartre ensured we walked off the excess!! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to stay in your delightful apartment. Dave & Janet Reese - Long Island, NY, USA 18 September 2004 Truly miraculous, good luck to you & PerfectlyParis.com.
