Electrostatic Spraying – Do It Yourself
and Save
The cost of a spray service varies
widely. $5,000-$15,000 is what we
typically hear is the cost to spray an
entire community one time.
Purchasing your own, commercial-
grade electrostatic spray system pays
for itself with just one use.
Disinfect on YOUR schedule – no
waiting for the service to be available
Disinfect where needed, as needed –
disinfect your entire community, or
spray specific locations as needed

Why Use Electrostatic Spray
Disinfection?
Electrostatic spray disinfection provides complete, uniform disinfection. Electrostatic spraying
gives wrap-around coverage and reaches nooks and crannies typically missed by general
cleaning.
Spray disinfection is safe for nearly all surfaces and normally-cased electronics. You DON’T
need to empty rooms before spraying.
Electrostatic spray disinfection is quick. A resident room can usually be sprayed in less than 10
minutes. Residents can return to their rooms as soon as the spraying is done. Fogging mists
typically take several hours per room.
Electrostatic spray disinfection is safe for people and the environment. Low volume micromist
means fewer chemicals are used, reducing total environmental load. Electrostaticly charged
particles means droplets quickly attach to surfaces and don’t linger in the air.
Thorough disinfection stops the spread of infection. With bacteria and viruses eliminated, the
surrounding air is safer to breathe. A healthier environment means fewer residents illnesses
and reduced staff sick days.

From https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPliFIgEWYU
Electrostatic spraying technology
electrically charges spray particles to
reach between and behind surfaces to
ensure full coverage.
Charged particles are drawn to and
adhere to surfaces with a force
stronger than gravity.
The technology has been used for
industrial coatings, agricultural
pesticide applications and many other
uses for years.
Now it is being used to ensure thorough
application of disinfectants.

Introduction to Disinfectants: Disinfectant
Hierarchy and Pathogen Resistance
Spaulding’s microbiological disinfectant hierarchy lists pathogens from the most
resistant to chemical disinfection to the most susceptible
Confidential 8
Most Resistant
• Spores (C. diff)
• Mycobacteria (M. tuberculosis)
Less Resistant
• Fungi (Candida, Trichophyton)
• Bacteria (MRSA, VRE, Acinetobacter)
Most Susceptible
• Enveloped Viruses (HIV, HSV, Flu, Ebola)
COVID-19 is an
“enveloped” virus and is
relatively easy to kill with
chemical disinfection
Harder to kill
Easier to kill
C. diff spores are among
the hardest to kill with

Microbial Growth on Untreated Surfaces
After treatment with Penetrexx
Untreated surfaces can develop
excessive bacterial loads
between disinfections
Treated surfaces inhibit bacterial
growth and remain safe between
cleanings
How Does Penetrexx Work?
Halosil HaloFogger End User_1604 20
Penetrexx’s antimicrobial technology is
formulated from a Silane Quaternary
Ammonium (QAS) chemistry platform.
It uses a multi-step approach to
pathogen-control.
Step 1: Penetrexx forms a long lasting
bond on the surfaceWithstands repeated washings and wipings and lasts
up to 30 days
How Does Penetrexx Work?
Halosil HaloFogger End User_1604 21
Step 2: Penetrexx contains
electrostatically charged molecules
that pull in microbesMicrobes, which are negatively charged, are
actively pulled in by the positively charged
molecular chain of the coating
Step 3: Microscopic spikes impale and
burst the cell walls of the microbesUsing an atomic microscope we can see the killing field
