Indoor (NEMA 1 IP30*) Selection Guide

1 6-Pulse: The industry standard for applications without harmonics requirement.

2 12-Pulse Dual Switch: For applications with harmonic concerns when phased shifted power is applied directly to the input. Requires phase shift input transformer.

3 12-Pulse Power Distribution Block (no switch): For applications with harmonic concerns when input power is externally switched. Requires phase shift input transformer.

4 Recording Ammeter: For those who still prefer traditionalrecording methods.

5 Auxiliary 115 volts: Supplies 275 VA.6 Integration of Centinel or WellLift surface electronics into VSD for

seamless operation.7 RS-485 and RS-232 are standard; a VCI-42 module is available

for RS-422. 8 I/O Module: Up to three I/O Modules may be used (only two with the

FPWM option). Each module has the following I/O: (2) Analog inputs; (2) Analog outputs; (3) Digital inputs; (3) Digital outputs.

9 Brass Gland Plate: Removable gland plate provides the power entrance to the power J box. Brass provides a nonmagnetic gland plate (required when the field wiring is done with single conductors through an opening).

10 Data Card: PCMCIA and Compact Flash.

11 CE Options: A special trip coil located in the input breaker allows for removal of power to the drive for an E-stop condition.

12 IP20 Shielding: Lexan shields added to protect personnel from exposure to electrical components when the door is open.

13 Euro Heater: Small compact heater with an integral thermostatand blower that does not expose personnel to the more typical strip heater.

14 Wire Markers: Used to easily identify wire terminations meeting special requirements.

15 IEEE-519 compliant 24-pulse converter configuration. 66-519kVA sizes will be in the 4000 frame size. Requires 24-pulse phase-shift input transformer.

16 FPWM: Filtered PWM provides near sinusoidal wave to the motor.17 MOV: Surge suppressor that protects the unit in the event of

excessive transient voltages. Standard with NEMA 4 enclosures.18 Language Option: English, Russian, and Spanish are included in

current software. Other languages available upon request.19 RDCM Sensor Options: Remote Device Communication Module

interface for digital interface to third-party instrumentation to maintain certification.

* IP stands for “Ingress Protection” as determined by International Electrotechnical Commission Standard 60529. This standard provides designations for levels of industrial enclosure protection.
