Electronic SystemsLaboratory
LAB OBJECTIVE
Electronic Systems Laboratory (ES) is a laboratory within the Electrical Department of
the University of Engineering & Technology Lahore, Pakistan. The objective of the
ESD lab is to do research and education in the design of complex electronic systems.
The ESD lab mission is to
1. develop a new knowledge base and to do industrially relevant research ininnovative design on electronic as well as VLSI systems and technologies,
2. couple research to educational activities, and3. provide state-of-the-art facilities
LAB VENUE AND STAFF
Electronic Systemslab is located on the ground floor of Electrical
Engineering Department University of Engineering and TechnologyLahore. This lab is maintained by three highly skilled and trained
workers. These include:
1. Mr. Ghufran Khan Lodhi (Jr. Demonstrator)2. Mr. Hamid Mahmood (Lab Attendant)3. Mr. Sadiq Shakir (Lab Attendant)

Electronic Systems Lab is equipped with morethan 30 high performance computing machines.
All of these machines have Intel Pentium 4
processors, 1 GB RAM and more than 100 GB of
hard disk. The lab computers have a number of
CAD tools installed including:
PROTEUS & PSPICE(Circuit simulationand PCB layout tool)
SPICE ( For plotting solid state devicecharacteristics)
KEIL (used for microcontrollerprogramming)
C Language compiler and Debugger MATLAB (A tool for simulating complex mathematical functions )
Electronic Systems Lab has over 12 tables where students
perform experiments. Each table has the following instruments
for student use

The major course for this lab is the ELECTRONIC SYSTEM
DESIGN Course which covers the operation and working of
differential and multistage amplifiers, operational
amplifiers and their applications. This course also involves
the design and analysis of analog filters, along with the
study of analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters.
