The aim of this toolkit is to deliver a robust in-practice system to embed electronic safety netting within your practice. Following the emphasis on safety netting published by NICE NG12 Suspected cancer: recognition and referral and the Pan London Suspected Cancer Safety Netting guide we recommend EmisWeb practices use the London Cancer (LC) & Transforming Cancer Services Team (TCST) toolkit when arranging any of the following to confirm or exclude a cancer diagnosis:

PART ONE: INSTALLING THE TOOLKIT The following step-by-step guide demonstrates how to install the Safety Netting toolkit; this includes importing

3. Click on TEMPLATE MANAGER and create a folder called Cancer Safety Netting. We recommend you place this in your practice templates folder. IMPORT the LC_TCST Cancer Safety Net Tool into the Cancer Safety Netting folder.

4. Click on CONCEPTS MANAGER and create another folder called Cancer Safety Netting. This step is important as it allows the ‘concepts’ that trigger the ALERTS (that will pop up in the bottom right corner of the screen) to be imported and automatically saved in the appropriate folder.

5. RETURN to the TEMPLATE MANAGER and IMPORT into the Cancer Safety Netting folder each of the 11 ALERTS, one-by-one from the Cancer safety net toolkit alerts folder.
