As of November 21, Crown Enterprises facilities in both Regina and Saskatoon are authorized drop-off locations for end-of- life electronics. Moving forward, residents of Saskatoon and Regina and surrounding areas have another option when it comes to properly disposing of their old electronics. “It’s always exciting when we can add new drop-off locations to the program and expand the access and convenience for Saskatchewan residents,” said EPRA Saskatchewan Program Director, Gayleen Creelman. “We are confident that by providing more options for residents to e-recycle in Saskatoon and Regina, we can collect more end-of-life electronics, recycle them safely and ensure they are kept out of landfills and our beautiful environment.” For Crown Enterprises in Saskatoon and Regina, being an EPRA Saskatchewan authorized drop- off location ensures electronics that are dropped-off are properly recycled, and enables them to provide additional services to their commercial clients and branch out into collecting from the general public. “We are pleased that we can offer another value added service to our existing document and data destruction and recycling programs,” stated Justin Langdon, Operations Manager with Crown Enterprises Ltd. On average around 1,200 metric tonnes of electronic devices are collected annually from Saskatoon and Regina combined. With the addition of Crown Enterprises as a drop-off location, that number is expected to grow. Crown Enterprises joins SARCAN Recycling, Best Buy, and Staples as part of the EPRA e- recycling collection network in both Regina and Saskatoon. -30-
