Electrolytes
Solutes whose solutions does not conduct electricity are nonelectrolytes. These solution are composed of molecules or are pure water.
Ionic salts dissolved in water are strong electrolytes.
Some solutes are poor conductors and are known as weak electrolytes.

The ability of a solution to conduct electricity is regarded as positive evidence that the solution contains ions.
Solutions composed of molecules do not conduct electricity because there are no ions present.
