KRAAK & SMAAK1. F.O.H. and Monitor sound specifications, and back-line specificationsThe Promoter agrees to provide Artists Production manager with full venue details including P.A. and lighting specifications, stage, venue and backstage plans at least four (4) weeks prior to the engagement. The Promoter agrees to furnish to Artist, at the Promoters sole expense, the following:

FOH speaker system :First class, stereo line array or 4-way speaker system capable of delivering a clean, full range response from 20 Hz to 20 hHz , with sufficient power to maintain a level of 115 dB (with plenty of headroom to spare) at mixing position without distortion and providing full coverage of the entire audience area. In Case of Line Array please provide sufficient Center-fill/In fill/Front fill/Out fill! Note : Because KRAAK & SMAAK show includes music with large dynamic ranges, we would like to stress that the P.A. system be equipped with ample headroom. For the same reason, compressor/limiters on the P.A. System will not be accepted for either sound check or performance. Preferred systems: Synco Touring System (STS),Martin F2/W8M/W8L/W8C, Adamson Y-10/Y-18, Turbosound TMS/Flash, Lacoustics K1/dV-Dosc/V-Dosc, EAW 850/750, Sound projects SP4/Linex, Clairbrothers S4/i4, D&B J8/J12, with full processor accessibility ! IF THERE IS A POSSIBILITY TO FLY THE SYSTEM , THE SYSTEM HAS TO BE FLOWN Amplifiers should be capable of supplying ample power to speakers without clipping. The sound system and configurations must always be approved and discussed with the sound engineer and production manager of Kraak & Smaak.

1.2

House mixing desk :Minimal 40 input channels mixing desk compromising 4 band Parametric EQ per Channel with separate Lo Cut, minimum 8 x pre/post fader Auxes, 8 x VCAs, 8 x subgroup, ALL LONG THROW FADERS (NO Short throw faders like a Midas Venice or similar from other brands) preferred desks are: Midas XL-4/ H 2000/3000 or equivalent No budget desks like Mackie, Behringer, Spirit, or Peavey. The F.O.H. desk will be placed mids the 2 P.A. stacks at 2/3 of the venue depth and not up or under a balcony. We prefer analog Mixing consoles on both F.O.H. and Monitors. In case of digital desks be sure theres plenty of time to make a default KRAAK & SMAAK setting. These digital desks are acceptable: Digidesign Dshow, Studer Vista8, Soundcraft Vi6 Please provide a capable engineer familiar with system and desk.

1.3

Outboard Equipment :A free 2 x 31 bands equalizer to make sound corrections during the show: Preferably: Klark, XTA, Apex. 3 channels noise gate (BSS, XTA, Drawmer) 10 channels compression (DBX, BSS, XTA, Drawmer) 1 x FX processor (SPX 2000/990) 1 x Reverb (TC M3000 and up, Lexicon PCM 70 and up) 1 x Delay (TC2290, TC D2, Roland SDE 3000 or equiv.) A communication system between the F.O.H. and the Monitor desk position with light and buzzer, Talkback from F.O.H. to all monitor groups.

Monitors :All monitors need to be bi amp (active) monitors. One amp side for a 15 inch low end speaker, one amp side for the high end driver. All brands of monitors need be supplied with correct processing (XTA, Lake, BSS,) and the right settings for the speaker. 2.3

Work Lights:Will be required for load-in and load-out, these lights must be available during the entire period of production, until the conclusion of the load-out.


KRAAK & SMAAK3.3.1

Stage & Riser specifications:Stage requirements:A solid, single level stage, with minimum dimensions of performance stage of 12meters wide x 8 meters deep, with a minimum stage to ceiling clearance of 8 meters. In the event of modular or temporary staging, all sections must be firmly anchored together so that no movement occurs between sections whilst in use. The stage must be constructed to bear heavy loads ( 200 kg per square meter). Two (2) sets of stairs with handrails and railing lights should be supplied. Their exact location will be determined by the Artists Production Manager; therefore, do NOT attach to the stage permanently. Safety railings and truck loading ramps to be supplied by Promoter. Downstage edge and sides of stage should be dressed in black. It is imperative that the stage and its surrounding areas are safe for work and performance. Any bumps, uneven surfaces, loose stage sections, unsafe fixing or supports, gaps or holes on and around the stage area could lead to immense problems and possible cancellation of the show. All obstructions, risers and other stage supplies be removed from the stage area, all curtains, wings and backdrops to be flown and there should be no obstructions to the Artists entrance/exit from stage to backstage.

3.2

Risers:Five (5) risers 1 x 2 meters, 2 pc. 0,4 meters high, 2 pc. 0,6 meters high, 1 pc. 1 meter high. All risers black carpet upholstered and black dressed. NOTE: In case of festivals with a short change over, all risers (except 1 meter high), need to be rolling risers.

4.

Dressing rooms, Production office and dressing room cateringThe Promoter is to provide the following dressing room facilities at no cost to the Artist. All of these rooms should be backstage and with no public access or view. All dressing rooms are to look cozy (no sports dressing rooms); for example please use drapes, plants, flowers, candles etc to give them a nice, warm atmosphere.

4.1

Dressing rooms:Band Dressing Room: One (1) lockable dressing room large enough to comfortably accommodate six (6) people for band members, with the same number of comfortable chairs, one large table, one full length mirror, one clothes hanging rail, heating/cooling as appropriate. The dressing room should also be supplied with 3 x 220volt / 16 amp, free of charge WLAN Internet connection, and private toilet and bathroom facilities with hot and cold running water and twelve (12) clean, dry, bath sized towels. Female singer Dressing Room: One (1) lockable dressing room large enough to comfortably accommodate two (2) person, for female singer, with comfortable chairs, one table, one full length mirror, one clothes hanging rail, heating/cooling as appropriate. The dressing room should also be supplied with 1 x 220volt / 16 amp, free of charge WLAN Internet connection, and private toilet and bathroom facilities with hot and cold running water and four (4) clean, dry, bath sized towels. Crew Room: One (1) lockable dressing room large enough to accommodate four (4) persons, suitable for changing and relaxation. Room to be equipped with adequate lighting, one large table, ten comfortable chairs or sofas & chairs to accommodate four


KRAAK & SMAAK(4) persons, heating / cooling as appropriate, free of charge WLAN Internet connection and eight (8) clean dry bath size towels.

Production Office: One (1) lockable heated/cooled (as appropriate) room, with one (1) Mobile cell phone, with enough credit to make international calls, 2 x 220 volt / 16 amp power supply, free of charge LAN or WLAN Internet connection, one (1) desks and two suitable chairs. One (1) printer with PC and Mac driver and enough white paper, Electricity supply in this room is essential! Please note that this room is for the sole use of the Artist Tour Manager & Production Manager and should be in addition to any office facilities required by Promoter.

4.2

Dressing room catering:All cold drinks to be on ice or in a refrigerator: Coffee & Tea, milk & sugar(at all times) Fresh fruit for 12 persons Fresh and healthy made sandwiches for 12 persons 2 litres fresh orange juice Honey (cups) Chocolate pure/milk 24 small bottles of still water 24 cans of Coca-Cola served cold 48 small bottles or cans of (Pilsener) Beer served cold 2 bottles of good quality red wine 2 bottles of good quality (dry) white wine 24 cans of energy drink (red bull) 1 litre wodka (Smirnoff Blue) 1 litre single malt whisky (surprise us) Enough cups & various glasses
