Have them label each box with the corresponding season. Then, have them record the details about each season by drawing a picture inside the box. _______ Activity 3: Writing: Have your child decide which season is their favorite and have them tell why. Have them draw a picture and write about it. _______ Activity 4: High Frequency Words: Identify and use high-frequency words does, in, when. Have your child cut out the letters at the bottom of the page and glue them together to make each high frequency word shown. On the back of the page, have students write a sentence using each high-frequency word. _______ Activity 5: Sight Words: Have your child practice their sight words with the sight word lotto activity provided in the front of this packet. Or if internet access is available play a fluency and fitness game. ● I can use nonstandard measurement to measure length. ● I can identify and draw 2-Dimensional Shapes ● I can measure height. ● I can count to 100 by ones. ● I can recognize numbers 1-20 and add numbers to 10.

_______ Activity 1: Jump and Measure Take a large frog jump and mark where you

landed. Then use a nonstandard measurement tool to measure how far you jumped.

You can measure in books, pencil lengths, or even shoes. Write a sentence and draw

a picture to show how far you jumped. “I jumped _______________.” Make sure you

include what you used to measure. Then see if your mom or brother can jump farther

or shorter than you.

_______ Activity 2: Super Duper Shapes Practice tracing, drawing and writing how many sides and corners each of the 2-Dimensional shapes on the page have.

_______ Activity 3: Tree Measuring See the recording sheet to see if you can measure the tallest tree using just a pencil! The instructions are included on the

_______ Activity 4: Count to 100 Practice counting to 100 by going back and forth with a partner or in a group of 3. Each person only says one number, then the other person says a number and so on until you reach 100. For a challenge, see if you can go past 100.

_______ Activity 5: Number hunts. Cut out some numbers in different colors and shapes, then distribute them throughout the house. Then go on a scavenger hunt to find as many as you can. When finished, for a challenge you can add up the numbers that you found.

_______ Activity 1: Rainbow Clouds What you need Clear containers; shaving cream; water; food coloring

What to do Fill your glass container with water and top it with shaving cream. Ask students to drop the colored water onto the shaving cream clouds and observe as it falls through as rain.

_______ Activity 2: Sink or Float What you need A variety of objects to test that can get wet—toys, utensils, tools; a water tray; a list of the items; and a check mark sheet.

What to do Invite students to hypothesize which items they think will float and which will sink in the water. Complete the check mark sheet with their predictions. Then test each one, choosing students to volunteer to put the item gently in the water. Record the results.

_______ Activity 3: Wants and Needs Look through your room and sort out things that you want and things that you need. Draw a picture of two things you need and two things that are just wants.
