Putting the learner at the centre of a varied, innovative training suite.Once the technical issues had been sorted out, the University teams focused on creating a new distance training suite. The main reason the University opted for e-learning was to change the image of the training provided by the Group.“We want to enhance the possibilities for training offered to our staff by providing them with a self-service training suite that allows them to train as and when they require”, says Stéphane Robin. In addition to a range of training paths specific to its own business activities, PSA has opted to use the CrossKnowledge e-learning content catalogue. The number of languages offered was a key factor in view of the training challenges faced by teams based abroad, particularly in Latin America and China. “However relevant they were, classroom training sessions meant staff members had to travel. To make things more fl exible for them, we now offer distance learning packages”, explains Stéphane Robin. Sixteen training paths on management and individual performance have been put together with the help of CrossKnowledge. Eight of them – in particular those dealing with collective performance, interpersonal skills, and building leadership - are designed for

managers. The rest are designed for all staff members. Collectively entitled «Boost Your Everyday Performance», they help staff learn how to manage their time and priorities, make public presentations more confi dently, manage conflict more effectively, and so on.

Attractive, innovative tools that are fun to use.Of all the courses offered by the PSA Peugeot Citroën University, the CrossKnowledge programs are designed for the broadest target audience. This means that it is vital to use attractive, fun-to-use media to help get staff members on board. “The content covers a wide variety of topics taught by world-renowned experts and business school professors. Interactivity is also a key feature, with videos, quizzes, tests, and so on”, explains Stéphane Robin. The training suite also allows learners to go back to a course and pick up where they left off, and to access their notes whenever they wish. To use interactivity to the full, each learner is invited to respond to a satisfaction survey at the end of the course.“In less than three months, we’ve recorded an average of over 800 logins per day on our training portal, peaking at 4.000 in a single day. The average time spent per learner is constantly increasing. This shows that there is a high level of expectation among our staff members, who recognize the quality of the content and come back to the Campus after their first visit –

I see this as an essential indicator”, says Stéphane Robin.Determined to develop its e-learning strategy, the car manufacturer now has several projects in the pipeline.“We’re putting together training paths focusing on our group’s business that will combine our training content with that of CrossKnowledge. We’re going to pursue and develop our early experiments with social learning, and we’re also eager to deploy the CrossKnowledge collection entitled «The Team». Our aim is to offer a varied and unique training suite that satisfi es the needs of the greatest possible number of people”.
