Twenty seven of us traveled to Pigeon Forge for the Challenge Youth Conference. The speakers were fantastic and the singing was wonderful. Lonnie Jones was our featured speaker on Saturday and Sunday. The theme of the weekend was Stormsand there were 12,500 in attendance! About 95 came forward including Cheryl Brooks and Rachel Duggins from our congregation. Be sure to keep them in your prayers. Fourteen others were baptized. I couldn't be prouder of our group. Everyone was a great example to those around us. Thank you to Carl and Connie Wood for making our dinner on Friday night, along with chaperoning and providing snacks. Same goes for Julie McKaskle for making Saturday lunch and dinner with the help from Mandy Cocke and Joanna Jackson. We had a great ride, no broken down bus and no police car rides like last year! Tom Todd did a terrific job of driving the bus. I saw a lot of selfies being taken, so stay tuned for more pictures! Check out the board in the lobby. Carol Todd Expect an answer. Youth News

What a wonderful weekend we had last week. Twenty seven of

us traveled to Pigeon Forge for the Challenge Youth

Conference. The speakers were fantastic and the singing was

wonderful. Lonnie Jones was our featured speaker on Saturday

and Sunday. The theme of the weekend was “Storms” and

there were 12,500 in attendance!

About 95 came forward including Cheryl Brooks and Rachel

Duggins from our congregation. Be sure to keep them in your

prayers.

Fourteen others were baptized. I couldn't be prouder of our

group. Everyone was a great example to those around us.

Thank you to Carl and Connie Wood for making our dinner on

Friday night, along with chaperoning and providing snacks.

Same goes for Julie McKaskle for making Saturday lunch and

dinner with the help from Mandy Cocke and Joanna Jackson.

We had a great ride, no broken down bus and no police car

rides like last year! Tom Todd did a terrific job of driving the

Place for therapy. Velva Stacy is at St Thomas Midtown for

therapy. Whit Witherow, Larry & Vivian’s son, is doing

good after getting a heart stent placed last week.

Howard Martin, Andy Dawson’s uncle, was in the hospital

last week for breathing problems but is now home.

Cailin Mickelson will have surgery Friday, March 4.

Janice Cordell will have lung surgery next week. It has

been rescheduled. James Bryant had a stroke & is under

hospice care. Guy Spann had heart surgery at St Thomas

March 2.

Linda Wheeler, Vivian Witherow’s sister, passed

away Feb 26. No arrangements are planned;

Tonya Dunn’s grandmother passed away Feb 25;

Johnny Vaughn passed away Feb 24 from natural

causes. His funeral was Feb 28 in Franklin, TN.

His father John Vaughn served here as minister in

the mid 1960’s. Johnny’s parents address is:
