Youth News
What a wonderful weekend we had last week. Twenty seven of
us traveled to Pigeon Forge for the Challenge Youth
Conference. The speakers were fantastic and the singing was
wonderful. Lonnie Jones was our featured speaker on Saturday
and Sunday. The theme of the weekend was “Storms” and
there were 12,500 in attendance!
About 95 came forward including Cheryl Brooks and Rachel
Duggins from our congregation. Be sure to keep them in your
prayers.
Fourteen others were baptized. I couldn't be prouder of our
group. Everyone was a great example to those around us.
Thank you to Carl and Connie Wood for making our dinner on
Friday night, along with chaperoning and providing snacks.
Same goes for Julie McKaskle for making Saturday lunch and
dinner with the help from Mandy Cocke and Joanna Jackson.
We had a great ride, no broken down bus and no police car
rides like last year! Tom Todd did a terrific job of driving the
bus. I saw a lot of selfies being taken, so stay tuned for more
pictures! Check out the board in the lobby. Carol Todd
Expect an answer. If no answer is desired, why pray?
True prayer has in it a strong element of expectancy.
“When he asks, he must believe and not doubt.” James 1:6
