MigunaI am really sad about that, and feel so frustrated by today's situation in Kenya. Did you readYash's article in the Star of last Thursday? He has really hit the nail on the head, and it is sodepressing. Corruption is everywhere and it seems there are only very few people who arenot there simply for what they can get. Few and far between. I enjoyed reading Wamwere'sarticle on Sunday and yesterday, too (Std). He writes well.

I take it from your article today that you are glad, if anything, that PLO has gone. He waspretty hopeless, I must admit, but now it appears we are going to have a toothless body at the

mercy of parliamentarians. Where shall we go from here? Very worrying.

I hope you will share your plans with me (confidentially, of course) when you know what youare going to be doing. Maina Kiai and I have been sharing some thoughts on things ingeneral, and how depressing everything is, and in passing we mentioned you and both reallyhoped that you would see your way clear to getting up, doing well and being a positive factorin Kenya's future. Kenya still needs you. I am still so upset about what has happened.

Hope the family are wellAll the bestSarah

I don't think it has been advertised yet. It's all happened quite quickly, since

    yesterday.

Sigh! I just don't know what to say about those MPs. You are such a loss to us

(Kenyans) if you are outside public life, as far as I am concerned, and we can depend

on those bastards, those intellectual giants like Jakoyo and others, to do the direct

opposite of what is good for this country. Of course, you would be a terrible threat to

them. That does not stop you applying (if there will be applications?? Who knows)

and putting your CV and reputation before the public. What about inspector generalof police? They were emphasising the way open for people from civilian life on TV

tonight. I would love to see you in a position where we really need someone who has

your skills and attributes and tenacity.S

    Sarah,

Thanks for the kind words and support. They will never "approve" me in Parliament

    (I think).

    Hi

Are you going to apply for the ethics commission? I think you should.

That is a job you would really suit, and Kenyans could know they had someone truly

interested and tenacious in ferreting out corruption.S
