    Elder Scrolls Quest Scenarios Synopses

    The Triplets of Greeneville:Part one:

    You meet the father of the sisters in the Greeneville marketplace, browsing the jewelrystand/store. He is upset with the lack of selection available in the jewelry, and you askhim why. He explains that his daughters birthday is coming up, and he wants to give

    them something unique and special. He asks if you would be able to craft three rings forthem, infused with their special abilities: one with restoration buffs, one with alteration

    buffs, and one with illusion buffs. He is willing to pay handsomely for them. You go outand collect silver and gold, and a flawless ruby, emerald, and sapphire. You then craft

    them into rings, and enchant them with their corresponding buffs. When you present therings to their delighted father, he pays you 10,000 septims for the trio.

    Part two:

    You run into the father of the triplets again, this time in the Greeneville chapel. He is

    upset again, and you ask him what is wrong. He says that he is looking to marry off hisdaughters to the most eligible bachelors in the country, and so far no one has called. You

    offer to deliver messages of their availability to any bachelors you run across in yourtravels. The father is grateful, as he longs for some peace and a break from the constant

    female chatter. As you travel through the cities, you run across several bachelors ofvarying social class and personality, and you hand them a letter of invitation. They all

    thank you and promise to call.

    Part three:

    You overhear locals of Greeneville complaining about all of the out-of-towners causinga ruckus in the tavern, apparently getting into fistfights and bragging. When you ask any

    NPC about the out-of-towners topic, they grumble for you to go see the triplets fatherabout it. You go to their house and find their characteristically distressed father, as well

    as the triplets themselves, who are very lovely and identical except for the color of theirdresses (illusion blue, alteration red, restoration green). Their names are Alba (alteration),

    Immogene (illusion), and Helia (restoration). You can speak to them, and they seempleasant and polite, and they speak mildly of the suitors in town, saying they could never

    decide. Their father is relieved to see you and knows you can help sort this mess out. Sixsuitors have arrived simultaneously to call on the triplets, and theyve been getting into

    fights amongst themselves over who gets to marry one of the daughters. You proposeholding a contest to weed out the best suitors, and the father agrees. He asks you if youre

    also interested in competing, to which you can answer either yes or no.

    If no, you are asked to come back in a few days. When you return, their father is happy toreport that three suitors were selected by his daughters and they are now happily married

    and far away from here. He talks about wanting to start breeding dogs in a few months,because he actually kind of misses the noise. He gives you the family sword as a reward.

    If yes, you are asked to meet for the contest at a nearby ruin. You must be above a certain

    level to participate. When you arrive at the ruin, the father, triplets, and six suitors arethere ready to start the contest. You speak to the father, and he asks you which daughter

    you are competing for: Alba, Immogene, or Helia. You select a name and the contest

    begins. The daughter that you selected steps forward and tells you Because Ive trainedin _[alteration/restoration/illusion]_, you will be tested in these skills inside. Good luck!

    Alteration Test: You enter the ruin to find a painted arrow on the floor pointing to a bigdoor on the opposite wall. It is locked, and a sign next to it reads Why be picky when a

    spell will do? You must use an Open Lock spell to proceed. The next room has fireballtraps aimed at you, with the hint:

    Smoke

    HotInferno

    EmbersLiquid fire

    Devastation

    You must cast a fire shield to survive the hallway to the next door. When you enter thenext room, it is a long corridor completely filled with water. The hint reads: Dont feel

    gill-ty if you dont get this one right away. You must cast Water Breathing to survivethe room. When you reach the end of the corridor, it takes you back outside, to where

    Alba waits for you with congratulations. She asks you to meet her at the chapel of Maratomorrow. When you arrive, you are married and she moves into your house as your

    wife. Your alteration skill is increased after sleeping together for the first time.

    Restoration Test: You enter the ruin and immediately have your magicka drained. Youmust use Restore Magicka quickly, because a spiked ceiling is slowly lowering. The

    ceiling stops and retreats after youve cast the spell. In the next room is an ill person on acot, who is suffering from disease. You must use Heal Other/Cure Disease on Touch to

    stop the lowering ceiling. In the third room is a table with a vial labeled Drink Me.There is no lowering ceiling. You drink from the vial, and receive the message Youve

    been poisoned! Its fast-acting, and you must cast Cure Poison on Self to survive. Youopen the last door to find Helia waiting for you outside for you with congratulations. She

    asks you to meet her at the chapel of Mara tomorrow. When you arrive, you are marriedand she moves into your house as your wife. You restoration skill is increased after

    sleeping together for the first time.

    Illusion Test: You enter the ruin to find a frightening beast charging at you in the firstroom. The word Relax is painted in blood on the walls behind it. You must cast a

    Calming spell. Doing so tames the beast and lifts the bars over the next door. You enterthe second room to find an evil mage lobbing destructive spells at you. The word

    Shhhh is painted in blood on the walls behind him. You must cast Silence to proceed.In the third room, a zombie is charging you. The word Stop is painted in blood on the

    walls behind him. You must cast Paralyze to proceed. You open the final door to findImmogene waiting for you with congratulations. She asks you to meet her at the chapel of

    Mara tomorrow. When you arrive, you are married and she moves into your house asyour wife. You illusion skill is increased after sleeping together for the first time.

    To Dye For:Betthilda Bustmaker is a foxy shop owner in the capital who just opened her dressmakingbusiness. Her profits, like her neckline, are plunging, and she asks for your help

    retrieving rare natural ingredients from different parts of the world that will turned intodyes.

    Animal Farm:

    You find a noble at a tavern who is shaken up by the discovery of his long-lost daughterin a remote part of the world. He asks you to escort her here, because Bears. When you

    finally arrive at her little farmhouse, she is a grown woman. You tell her about her father,and she tells you what she remembers of her past, of how she was can just barely

    remember living in a mansion before she was sent to the country with her new family.You escort her through dangerous woodlands, but she uses Calm on every beast you

    encounter, and you are able to safely return her to her father. She excitedly tells you thatshell convert one of the mansion wings into a rabbit farm. You receive a powerful fur

    cuirass called Hide of the Rabbit.

    Zenos Ark:You meet an Imperial man named Zeno who is starting up a zoo just outside of the city.

    He asks your help in calming and escorting pairs of animals found throughout the world.You are rewarded with money for each pair you bring him.

    Come to my Window:

    You hear word of a ghost thats been haunting a local mansion. Youre told that if anyoneis brave enough to approach it, it gives a yell of panic and dissipates. You go to the

    designated spot and see the ghost, following it from a distance. You watch it attempt toclimb into a lower level window, but the window falls shut on the ghost and it falls

    backwards down a nearby cliff. When you investigate the bottom of the cliff, you find askeleton containing Thievery buff item[s].

    Racing Cliff Racers

    Compete in a marathon on foot through the Ashlands while cliff racers attack you the.Entire. Way. Uses stamina, as well as any necessary skills to fend off or calm the cliff

    racers. Stocking up on potions is a necessity. Prize is money and a birds head helmetcalled The Hitchcock.

    Natural Treasure

    You find Sinderions descendant, Ganlian, who, after discovering a book left by hisgrandfather, Sinderion, left his steady job in the treasury to become a freelance alchemist.

    Sinderion spoke of a rare form of nirnroot native to waters in the world with a certainchemical balance, and leaves a clue as to where one grouping can be found. Ganlian is

    too afraid to venture into this undead cave, and was planning on hiring a member of theFighters Guild to go investigate. He was worried that their big bulky boots would

    trample over the nirnroot plants, or theyd get blood all over them or something. Youoffer to investigate the cave. After clearing it out, you find three of the rare nirnroot

    plants growing, and bring them back to Ganlian, as well as a water sample. He is excited

    and plans to do extensive research on where other sources of this water exist in the world.One by one, Ganlian gives you a new location, and you clear it to collect the rarenirnroot. Finally, you collect enough to create the most powerful potion yet, with at least

    five powerful buffs.

    Bard Gone BadSyndus the Bard asks for your help. He is in love with Jala, a flute player who also

    attends the Bard University. He wants to woo her with his music, however hes terrible.He asks you to do something to change her mind. You meet him at her balcony one night,

    and must cast a Charm spell on her from the bushes so that she will fall in love with himdespite his terrible singing and lute playing.

    Ashlander Refugees

    Help Ashlander refugees build a new town in the grazelands, and to adjust to this newlocation. Collect materials for construction, fend off predators, and kill game for food

    supplies. Final reward is a house in the community.

    Bust a HumpPart one:

    You hear the conversation topic/speak to a farmer outside of Skingrad named Casnar. He

    is complaining of his sheep going missing, and wants you to investigate after dark. Whenyou return later that night around midnight, you find a mage casting destructive spells at

    Casnars flock. After you confront her, she immediately flees, and you stealthily followher to an abandoned cabin in the woods. When you confront her again, she admits that

    her name is Isa, and shes been living out here for a number of years to get some solitudewhile she hones her magic. You can either report her presence to Casnar the next

    morning, or find a way to get Isa to stop killing the sheep.

    If you report her to Casnar: Casnar is very pleased that youve solved the mystery, andgives you the reward of Eibram, his family sword, which has combat buffs and magic

    defense buff. You are additionally rewarded 5,000 septims by the city of Skingrad forcatching a wanted criminal.

    If you try to get Isa to stop killing the sheep: You offer to hunt some game for Isa in

    exchange for her promise to stop killing the villagers livestock. You are given the mini-quest to kill five deer and bring their meat to her. Isa is pleased with venison and trains

    you once in destruction magic.

    Much later, you hear the conversation topic from the locals in Skingrad about a strangescorched woman who was found in a local farmers chicken coop last night. She is going

    to be tried as witch, and most likely hanged. You deduce that this must be none otherthan Isa, and sneak into the castle Skingrad jail at night. After you find Isa in her jail cell,

    she tells you her story and you break her out of prison and the city limits. After youre

    safely in the woods, Isa tells you that she plans to move far away to Solstheim, and givesyou powerful destructive magic scrolls as thanks.

    Part three:

    Much later, a courier approaches you with a letter from Isa in Solstheim. You can read

    her letter, and receive some powerful frost scrolls.

    Going to the ChapelPart one:

    A young Imperial woman in the marketplace whispers you over. She has a favor to ask

    you, but cant talk now because shes with her family. She asks you to meet her outsideher house at midnight, and to make sure all the lights are out. She pretends not to know

    you if you talk to her at any other time.

    Part two:

    When you wait for her outside her house at night, she asks if you can deliver a secretletter to her love in town. He is a low-status butchers apprentice, a Nord. Her father has

    forbidden her to marry him and she wants to run away with him. She asks you to meether again with his response at the same time tomorrow night.

    Part three:

    You deliver her secret letter to her love. He reads it and agrees that they must elope as

    soon as possible. He asks you to tell her that he will come for her at dawn, to catch thelast boat to Anvil.

    Part four:

    Midnight again, meeting with the woman. She is overjoyed that shes going to elope with

    her love, but fearful. She asks you to go immediately to the local tavern and slip somesleeping flower into her fathers drink. She gives you a charm scroll so that you may get

    close and converse with him, and a vial of sleeping serum. She tells you that it shouldknock him out for a good eight hours, long enough for she and her love to sail away

    before he can find her missing and stop them.

    Part five:

    You head over immediately to the tavern, where her grouchy father is drinking with hismates. When you first converse with him, he is cold and hostile towards you, a stranger.

    You use a charm scroll on him, and he warms up. You must converse accurately withhim, answering his random questions in a manner that he likes, the goal being not to

    upset him or get him to distrust you. Finally, he goes to the bathroom for a few minutes

    and you have an opportunity to slip the sleeping serum into his drink. He returns anddrains the mug without noticing anything awry, and continues to speak with you. Hestarts confiding in you about his daughter, and his plans to marry her off to an old

    Telvanni Dunmer in Morrowind for the money. As hes talking, he slumps into sleep.You leave the tavern, mission accomplished.

    Part six:

    You wake up to knocks on your door and city guard in your room. They are placing you

    under arrest for the murder of [eloping girls father], who was given a lethal amount ofsleeping serum. Apparently, the girl gave you too high of a dose, and now you have been

    framed for her fathers murder. You can either go to jail or resist arrest and escape thecity with a bounty, which can be dealt with as in any other scenario.

    Part seven:

    If you manage to successfully evade your pursuers, a courier will approach you with a

    letter a month later. Its from the young woman, from Anvil. She writes to thank you forhelping her to elope. She found out much later about the lethal dose, but isnt very sorry

    to hear about the death of her father. She writes to say that they are living with her lovesfamily, and that it turns out he was adopted by a Telvanni Dunmer family. She finds their

    scrutiny towards her unbearable, and is planning her next escape.
