TITHING AND THE CONTRIBUTION

• Abraham, Gén. 14:20, dio diezmos de los despojos de la batalla; Gén. 28:20, Jacob, “de todo lo que me dieres, el diezmo apartaré para ti”.

• Jesús enseñó que los judíos deberían diezmar, Mat. 5:18, 19; Luc. 11:42, pero El cumplió la ley y la clavó en la cruz, Col. 2:14.

• Jesus taught that the Jews should tithe, Matt. 5:18, 19; Lk. 11:42, but He fulfilled the law and nailed it to the cross, Col. 2:14.

• Cristo y los apóstoles no imponen el diezmo sobre la iglesia, pero es el medio principal de iglesias sectarias para recaudar fondos.

• Christ and the apostles do not bind tithing on the church, but it is the principal means of sectarian churches to raise money.

• Diezmo = doctrina peligrosa. Gál. 3:10, depender de las obras de la ley, bajo maldición, obligados a guardar toda la ley.

La Gracia de Ofrendar

The Grace of Giving

• Pablo (el Espíritu Santo) nos enseña la gracia de ofrendar, 2 Cor. 8:1-5; 2 Cor. 9:6-8.

• Paul (the Holy Spirit) teaches us the grace of giving, 2 Cor. 8:1-5; 2 Cor. 9:6-8.

• Imitar a Cristo, 2 Cor. 8:9, siendo rico se hizo pobre.

• Imitate Christ, 2 Cor. 8:9, being rich He became poor.

• El cristiano debe TODO EL SER a Dios. 1 Cor. 6:19, 20.

• The Christian owes his WHOLE SELF to God. 1 Cor. 6:19, 20.

• Presentar el cuerpo en sacrificio vivo, Rom. 12:1.

• Present body as living sacrifice, Rom. 12:1.

• Ofrecer sacrificios espirituales, 1 Ped. 2:5; Fil. 4:18; Heb. 13:15,16.

• Offer spiritual sacrifices, 1 Pet 2:5; Phil 4:18; Heb 13:15,16

• Imitar a los macedonios, que en “profunda pobreza” dieron, 2 Cor. 8:2, 3.

• Imitate the Macedonians, who in “deep poverty” gave, 2 Cor. 8:2, 3.

• No decir, “pobres no TIENEN que ofrendar”- ¿Orar, cantar, cena? 2 Cor. 8:4. Visitantes NO TIENEN que ofrendar? Orar? Cantar?

• Don’t say “poor DON’T HAVE to give” – Pray, sing, Lord’s Supper? 2 Cor. 8:4. Visitors DON’T HAVE to give? Pray? Sing?

• ¡Dios no es pobre! Sal. 50:10, “Mío es todo animal del bosque y el ganado sobre mil colinas..mío es todo lo que en el campo se mueve”

• God is not poor! Ps. 50:10, “Every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills..the wild beasts of the field are mine.”

• Sal. 50:12,“Si yo tuviera hambre, no te lo diría a ti; porque mío es el mundo y todo lo que en él hay”.

• Ps. 50:12, “If I were hungry, I would not tell you; for the world is mine, and all its fullness.”

• Es un privilegio depositar en el banco del cielo. 2 Cor. 8:7; Fil. 4:17 Pablo no quería empobrecer a los macedonios. Quería enriquecerles.

• It is a privilege to deposit in the bank of heaven. 2 Cor. 8:7; Phil. 4:17. Paul did not want to impover-ish the Macedonians. He wanted to make them richer.

• Ofrendaban con sacrificio, pero también con gozo, 2 Cor. 8:2; 2 Cor. 9:7. Ex. 36:5-7; 1 Crón. 29:9; Neh. 12:43.

• They gave with sacrifice, but also with joy, 2 Cor. 8:2; 2 Cor. 9:7; Ex. 36:5-7; 1 Chron. 29:9; Neh. 12:43.

• 2 Cor. 8:5, El “secreto de su éxito” -- primeramente se dieron a sí mismos al Señor. ¡Entonces ofren-dar generosamente es fácil!

• 2 Cor. 8:5, The “secret of their success” – first they gave them-selves to the Lord. Then giving generously is easy!

• Proponer a ofrendar según Dios nos haya prosperado, 1 Cor. 16:2; 2 Cor. 9:7. No sobrantes, Mar 12:44 Ofrenda PRIMERO, luego nosotros

• Purpose to contribute as God has prospered us, 1 Cor. 16:2; 2 Cor. 9:7. Not left-overs, Mk. 12:44. Con-tribution FIRST, then for us.

• De esta manera mostramos nuestro “amor” hacia Dios, 2 Cor. 8:24. “Oh cuánto amo a Cristo”. Ofrecemos cojos, ciegos al Señor?

• In this way we show our “love” for God. 2 Cor. 8:24. “Oh how I love Jesus”. Do we offer the lame and the blind to the Lord?

• Dios quiere que ofrendemos generosamente para que nos pueda bendecir, 2 Cor. 9:8-10; Mal. 3:8-10; limitamos las bendiciones.

• God wants us to give generously so that He can bless us, 2 Cor. 9:8-10; Mal. 3:8-10; we limit His bless-ings upon us.
