They were welcomed by President Martin Cheah, Vice President Mr. Tay Wee Lye, Contract Manager, Patrick Tan and Institutional Director, Luciana Sandri. They visited the EJA construction and were updates on the progress of the project. Mec Show 2014 was sponsored by Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz

(EJA). The event occurred in Serra/ES, from July 22th to

25th. EJA also participated in the business roundtables and

had a booth at the exposition. During the Mec Show, a group

Furthermore, EJA was represented at the 3rd Conference on

Largest crane of Latin America

In July, the giant Floating Crane belonging to Estaleiro Jurong

Aracruz (EJA), the largest in the Latin America, arrived to

Espírito Santo. The crane will be used for construction of

Brazilian pre-salt drillships and integration of FPSO platform

modules. The crane, a Brazilian agged vessel, with its own

crew, arrived in Espírito Santo to clear the necessary Customs

documentation. Once it was cleared, the Crane returned to Rio

de Janeiro where it shall remains until September.

A new class of 30 trainees of the Training Program in Naval

EJA operation begins

Operation of EJA began with the construction of levels 4

and 5 of the 10 levels (oors) of accommodation of the

Arpoador drillship modules. 140 tons of steel plates are

processed for each level. This work has being conducted

in Temporary Hull Shop, involving 160 EJA employees

under the guidance of the Manager Campana and

technical support from Mr. Foo. Cutting and welding

equipments are being used for operation, and a 250 tons

Grantry crane. This work will continue with the building of

all ten levels, and installing them inside the drillship, as

soon as the Hull reaches EJA. EJA operation area

Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA) held, on April 24th, the graduation

ceremony of 588 people from Aracruz, Fundão, Ibiraçu and João

Neiva, who participated in the EJA Sponsored Manpower/Technical

training. Courses taught at Escola Premier of Aracruz/ES. Students

were trained in various operating functions. Since 2012, 1945 people

from the community have been completed the courses sponsored by

EJA, and a new group of 375 people started their classes on May 20th.

Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA) received a visit from the National

Waterway Transportation Agency (Antaq), on July 18th, for an

inspection of the shipyard construction. The EJA Institutional

Director, Luciana Sandri, Espírito Santo Subsecretary for Foreign

Trade, Mayhara Chaves, Special Advisor, Camilo Ferreira and

Antaq representatives Sérgio de Oliveira, Julio Cesar Dias and

Igor Ribeiro participated in the visit. EJA's engineering team

explained the progress of construction and dredging works with

maps and, subsequently, a technical tour was carried out of the

entire area of the yard.

Antaq inspection at EJA4th Aracruz Business Leadership Forum Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA) sponsored the 4th Aracruz Business Leadership Forum, promoted by the Department of Economic Development of the city municipality of Aracruz, with the theme "Development perspectives of Espírito Santo and Brazil for the next four years". Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA) participated in the

2nd Espírito Santo Energy Week, with the theme

"Efficiency and Energy Security", on June 11th, at

the headquarters of Findes in Vitória/ES. EJA served

as one of the major "anchor" companies, who set

their respective demands for materials and services

to micro, small and medium entrepreneurs offer

them their products.

Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA) was present at the Roundtable "Believe it possible to

make the difference!", promoted by the Metallurgical and Electrical Material Union

(Sindifer), on June 10th. On that occasion were presented experiences and expertise on

People Management, examples of innovative approaches that cause a positive impact

on people's behavior in organizations aimed at professional and business growth. EJA

HR Manager, Lucila Lopes, and Coordinator of Communication and Press Relations,

EJA attends “ES em Ação” Workshop

Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA) was invited to participate in the Espírito Santo Ports

Workshop promoted by ES em Ação (‘‘Espírito Santo in Action’’). The event took place on

June 16th, at Bristol Century Plaza Hotel in Vitória/ES, and its theme was "Update of

planned projects for Espírito Santo State”. EJA Institutional Director, Luciana Sandri, led a

presentation of the shipyard. Representatives of port projects in the state, such as

Portocel, Manabi, Itaoca, among others, attended the event.

Serra Business Roundtable

Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz participated in the "Business

Roundtable and Opportunities" organized by Ases, in Café

de Negócios (Caneg), in partnership with the State

government, through Aderes. The event took place on

March 26th in the auditorium of the UCL University, and

promoted 306 meetings between Applicants and Vendors

of products and services. EJA attended to more than 40

representatives of companies from various segments, in

engineering, technology, manufacturing, communication,

among others. The event was an opportunity to

strengthen the relationship with local suppliers.

In June, EJA began a new phase of the project construction

with the commencement of dredging works. The works

consist on the removal of seabed sediment (sand and rock) by

the dredger “Beaver” to provide the necessary depth for the

transit of the vessels in the areas of the Access Channel. The

dredged material will be led by two barges to the Marine

disposal site approximately 8 miles from the coast (4.2

nautical miles). The dredging works will last 350 days and will

be held in different stages in 24 hours uninterrupted shifts.

Institutional director, Luciana Sandri, held a presentation of EJA to the

new Captain of the Port Authority, Captain Marcos Aurélio Arruda. The

presentation was held on August 1st, at the headquarters of the Port

Authority and had the presence of Espírito Santo Subsecretary for Foreign

Trade, Mayhara Chaves.
