Meeting between Jurong and Petrobras in Singapore
Petrobras Director José Antônio Figueiredo and the National Petroleum Agency (ANP) General Director Magda Chambriard met
with the Group SembCorp Marine CEO, Mr. Wong, President of Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA) Martin Cheah, HR Manager
Lucila Lopes and HSE Manager Lani Tardin this past July in Singapore. The aim was to present the progress of the work on the
contracteds Drillships and FPSOs. The EJA was contracted by Sete Brasil to build seven rigs based on the Jurong Espadon
design and contracted by TUPI BV for the integration of the modules in two FPSOs. The first drillship, Arpoador, will be delivered
June 2014.

Manager Marina Fachetti and Manager Altamiro Ferreira da Motta
Filho visited the construction at EJA's site. They were welcomed
by EJA President Martin Cheah, Vice President, Tay Wee Lye, and
Institutional Director Luciana Sandri. After the safety briefing, the
group walked through the construction site of the breakwater and
south quay.

EJA construction progress
The construction phase of the breakwater, south quay and pier are
currently underway at Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz. The manufacturing
warehouses for sheet metal and pipe are being erected. The equipment
of these warehouses will be delivered by the end of 2013. Further
surveys, bathymetry and seismic studies are being done for the
preparation of the dredging project. The next steps will be the
construction of administrative building, canteen, clinic, entrance way
and north quay.

Jurong participates in the Mec Show 2013
Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA) was present in the largest Metal Mechanics, Energy and
Automation Fair of Espírito Santo: Mec Show. This was the 6th edition of the event,
which had about 17,000 visitors from July 23th to 26th.
EJA Presentation
The fair hosted the 2nd Conference of the Maritime, Oil and Natural Gas Industry in the
State, where EJA Commissioning Manager Rubens Galvão spoke about The Maritime
Industry and the Demands of Goods and Services, presenting the needs and the
means for local companies to become EJA suppliers. Also presente at the event were
EJA President Martin Cheah, Vice President Tay Wee Lye, Institutional Director Luciana
Sandri, HSE Manager Lani Tardin, HR Manager Lucila Lopes and Procurement
Manager Jason Peh.
Business Roundtable
EJA established c ontact with local suppliers during the Business Roundtable,
sponsored by Sebrae-ES in partnership with Petrobras. The event had the presence of
other major buyers such as Petrobras, Fibria, ArcelorMittal, among others. According to
organizers of the event, there is a forecast of more than 35 million Reais will be
generated business for the next four months.
Technical visit
A technical visit to the EJA Construction was part of the activities organized during the
fair. Visitors had the opportunity to view the construction areas of the breakwater, south

increase the capixabas companies
participation in the construction works
of Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz.
Meeting at Findes
Latin America's largest crane
EJA ordered from Japan a giant oating
crane with capacity to lift 3,600 tons,
with a height of 185 meters, length of
110 meters width of 50 meters. The EJA
crane will be the largest in Latin America.
Each tower will be 1,800 tons. The
crane, which will have a Brazilian ag,
will arrive to the Espírito Santo in 2014
and will provide service to other
companies.

With the purpose of expand of the capixaba industry thparticipation in the EJA works on August 12 an
enterprise presentation to the businessmen of
construction was promoted at the Sindifer Headquarters.
The speakers were EJA Institutional Director Luciana
Sandri and EJA Architect Mario Nunes. The businessmen
were represented by the Sinduscon Director Aristóteles
Passos Costa Neto and the PDF Director Durval Vieira.EJA presentation
IFES students selection to Singapore
EJA selects students to be trained in Singapore
To empower the workforce, EJA created a technology knowledge exchance plan, in which IFES
students are trained in the offshore and naval technology at the Ngee Ann Institute and Jurong
shipyard in Singapore. Since January, 23 students and 3 IFES teachers are in Singapore.
This year, 30 students will be selected for 2014 from the campuses of Aracruz, Colatina,
Guarapari, Linhares, São Mateus, Serra and Vitória. Two stages of the selective process this year
have occurred, with application of experience and English proficiency tests with representatives of
the Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz and the Singapore teachers.
New EJA's qualification courses
EJA develops a training program to contribute to the professional formation of people in the
region through free courses. In all, about 400 people were benefited by the program during the
first half of 2013.
During the second half of this year, more than 500 opportunities for professional qualification
courses were offered in the areas of: Brazier, Electrician Strength and Control, Industrial Plumber,
Installer and Maintenance of Industrial Naval Pipe, Steel Cutter, Steel Structure Assembler, Light
Machinery Operator, Heavy Machinery Operator, Industrial Painter, Mechanical Assembler/Fitter.
The program benefits residents of communities of Aldeia Caeiras Velha, Aldeia Três Palmeiras,
Coqueiral, Guaraná, Jacupemba, Mar Azul, Santa Cruz and town of Aracruz, and Praia Grande, in
the municipality of Fundão.Selection for new courses
Aiming to enhance the knowledge of the counselors, by promoting efficiency in participatory
management, a course for strengthening counselors of the Conservation Units (UCs) APA Costa das th thAlgas and RVS de Santa Cruz was promoted on July 24 and 25 , in Aracruz. The initiative is of
ICMBio in partnership with Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA). The activity is included in the
Environmental Education and Communication Program of the APA Costa das Algas and RVS de
Santa Cruz.
The course was attended by 34 people. Several topics were discussed related to the management of
the UCs. During the course, an action plan of the council was developed, which will be the main
instrument guiding the initiatives of the counselors and ICMBio.

Visual identity for Conservation Units
Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz (EJA) was responsible for the creation of
brands to identify the Capixabas Conservation Units: APA Costa
das Algas and RVS de Santa Cruz. The work, developed in
partnership with ICMBio, is part of the attendance the condition of
Installation license of the project and it was developed in two
stages.
The first stage, the counselors participated in a communication
workshop, in which they elected the elements that best visually
represent the UCs. The second stage, the consultative council
met to select the brands. The chosen brands main features are
being visually clean, easily identifiable, strong expressiveness
and, especially, integrated, because the two units are managed
jointly by the Integrated Management of Santa Cruz.
World Environment Day Event
To celebrate the World Environment Day on June 5th, the Estaleiro
Jurong Aracruz HSE team developed a special event. The employees
received themed T-shirts, a mailing targeted to raise awareness and
also an invitation to participate in the Eco Tour of Aricanga Municipal
Natural Park, sponsored by EJA.
Employees participated in the hike to connect with the remaining
Mata Atlantica Rainforest of region of Aracruz-ES, and realize a trek
up at the Morro Aricanga, elevation of 580 meters.
