What’s this Eisteddfod?

• It’s a platform for all grade 4-8 SAS Pudong students to perform solo repertoire, poetry or

present a Visual Art piece of your choice! • You’ll perform/present in front of an external

adjudicator and be awarded a prize certificate and commentary at the end of each section.• You’ll stand the chance to be chosen to

perform/present during the special gala concert.

Why participate?• It is essential to learn solo repertoire, poetry and to develop a good

playing, singing and dramatic speaking technique and to help one to acquire sufficient depth for playing accompaniment parts in the band, string orchestra, ensemble and choir.

• Visual Art pieces should be shown and enjoyed by a larger audience than your teacher, your classmates and your parents. It is helpful to get the perspective of others besides your Art teacher on your Visual Art pieces.

• Ever wondered why you bothered to learn an instrument…”nobody ever really listens to me?” Well, this is your chance to shine…

• You can show your confidence and proficiency on your instrument of choice. You don’t feel confident yet? Well, this is the place to build it!
