EISENBERG HEALTH POLICY RESIDENT LEADERSHIP GRANT 2018 APPLICATIONSubmission Deadline: Monday, February 19, 2018
On behalf of Lee D. Eisenberg, MD, MPH, we are pleased to announce a new SRF grant opportunity! The Eisenberg Health Policy Resident Leadership
Grant has been established to annually provide a minimum of three (and up to five) resident leadership grants (RLG) for the annual AAO-HNS/F
Leadership Forum & BOG Spring Meeting. Each grant will be funded in the amount of $550.
To be eligible for an Eisenberg Health Policy RLG, applicants must:
Be a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS) in good-standing; and
Complete an application and provide a statement of interest describing how receiving a grant from this Fund would further their involvement in AAO-HNS legislative and health policy advocacy activities.
If awarded an Eisenberg Health Policy RLG, recipients must:
Attend the spring AAO-HNS/F advocacy/leadership meeting held in the Washington, DC Metro area, including participation in a Capitol Hill meeting with their Congressional representative(s);
Submit a 300-word post-meeting essay about their meeting experience; and
Attend a local meeting/event with their Member(s) of Congress.
Grant recipients will also be invited to attend:
Dinner with Dr. Eisenberg on the Friday preceding the spring AAO-HNS/F advocacy/leadership meeting; and
A reception sponsored by ENT PAC, the AAO-HNS political action committee (attendance not required; separate fee may be required).
