The Present Continuous is used to talk about actions in progress; actions going on “now”/“right now.”

El Presente Continuo es usado para hablar de acciones en progreso; acciones sucediendo “ahora”/“ahora mismo.”

Notice the Spelling of the continuous verb form:

(1) wear = wearing

(2) swim = swimming (+ m)

(3) drive = driving (- e)

Affirmative Sentences: He’s swimming in Punta Hermosa.

Negative Sentences: Socorro isn’t wearing blue jeans.

Yes/No Questions: Is Denice driving a car? Yes, she is./No, she isn’t.

WH-Questions: Who is talking to John? The teacher is talking to John. Who is the teacher talking to? He’s talking to John.
