To recognize leadership, academic achievement, financial need, and community involvement of Métis students pursuing post secondary accreditation in one of the following fields: Engineering (electrical, electronic, or telecommunications) Business Administration/Commerce Computer Science Other fields of study related to SaskTel Eight awards of $2,000, or other disbursements as agreed to by the Selection Committee, will be available annually. The SaskTel Métis Scholarship is open to students enrolled full-time in an accredited post-secondary institution pursuing a degree, diploma, or certificate directly related to telecommunications. Scholarship recipients must grant permission to the Gabriel Dumont Institute to publish their name, photo, course of study, and submitted statement in various media, and to share this information with SaskTel. SaskTel agrees to provide career mentorship for the award recipients. SaskTel will also inform all award recipients of summer employment opportunities with SaskTel. Self Declare as a Métis Be a Saskatchewan resident Demonstrate academic ability to be successful in a course of study Be enrolled or plan to enroll in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution in Saskatchewan Provide confirmation of enrollment Demonstrate financial need Submit a statement of no more than one page attesting to leadership skills and community involvement Submit a 50-word biography Submit official transcripts from your most recent two years of study Submit an updated resume Be prepared to submit a high resolution digital photo

Deadline for applications are May 1st and October 1st of each year.
