Training & Placement The Training & Placement Division has arranged for the Career
Development / Personality Development programs for the benefit
of the students. The course is geared towards realizing the
following objectives:-
To reiterate the fundamentals of verbal and quantitative
ability and in sharpening their communication skills.
To develop competence and flair in applying theory to
practical problems.
To train and enable the students in handling test
situation through simulated practice test.
To enable the students to master the skill of
presentations and opinion formation at the end of the
course and also help them in improving their general and
technical awareness.

HOD’s Message The field of instrumentation is rapidly expanding its boundaries because of demanding applications. These includes applications in the field of nuclear instrumentation, process control instrmentation and bio medical instrumentation. The scope of instrumentation has been further advanced by recent developments in the field of MEMS and NANO Technology.The department has well qualified, experienced and highly dedicated staff and advanced labs. The Department also has close interaction with R&D centers and industries for industrial visits.
EIEDepartment The Department of Electronics and Instrumentation was
established in the year 2009, has now grown at full fledge
pace with all essential and well sophisticated instruments
required for laboratory and research activities. This course
provides students with sound theoretical & practical training
in the operation and design of electronic instruments, digital
logic systems, and computer based automatic process
control etc. Apart from the course work, students are trained
in LabVIEW, PLC, SCADA, Microcontrollers and Embedded
systems to meet the industrial requirements of
future.Students are also trained to become well versed with
personal computer applications in instrumentation, process
control system design, PLCs, Microprocessors
experimentation, Industrial Electronics & applications, and
Virtual Instrumentation.

modern industries by providing accessible and relevant
programs that are directly applicable to the dynamic
environment in which our students will work, live and
contribute.
Mission
Courses Offered The department offers undergraduate programs with full-fledged exposure to meet the need of Industries. B.E Program- 4 years Duration/ 8 Semester- Full Time.
&3.5 years Duration/ 7 Semester- Part Time.
This program combines the academic and professional skills
necessary to carve out a career in the field of measurement,
electronics and understanding of complex processes. The
highlight of this program is the dual-purpose approach of
learning key concepts and engaging them in practical
experience. Students are trained to plan, design, install, operate,
service and maintain complex instruments and also to make sure
that high quality is maintained. Course Objectives An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science
and engineering fundamentals appropriate to the discipline.
An ability to identify, formulate and solve problems by
applying the principles of electronic instrumentation and
control systems.
An ability to design and implement instrumentation
and control systems to meet desired needs with appropriate
consideration for public health and safety, environment,
society, economics and sustainability.
An ability to design and conduct experiments as well
as to analyze and interpret data.
An ability to use the techniques, skills and modern
engineering tools necessary for his engineering practice.
The broad education necessary to understand the
impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic,
environmental and societal context.
A knowledge of contemporary issues.
An understanding of professional, ethical, legal and
social issues and consequent responsibility relevant to
professional engineering practice.
An ability to function on multidisciplinary teams.
An ability to communicate effectively with a range of
audience in his professional engineering practice.
A recognition of the need for and an ability to engage
in lifelong learning.
An ability to use engineering and management
principles to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a
team to manage projects.
Laboratories & Facilities The laboratories that students will have ample access to are: Electronic Devices and Circuits lab, Microprocessors and Micro Controllers lab, Digital Electronics lab, Transducers lab, Process Control lab, Virtual Instrumentation lab. The department is also equipped with software like MAT lab, MULTISIM and LabVIEW. AAVISHKAR- Department Tech Fest The Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering organizes its NationalLevel Technical Symposium “AAVISHKAR- Discover Engineer in U” during September month of every year.
This Symposium brings together all students of various streams of Engineering from various Colleges/ Institutes.
Industrial Visits & Training Students are encouraged to undergo industrial trainingduring the course of their academic program in order to create a thirst for the practical implementationof the various concepts learnt in the classroom. The EIE Department arranges industrial visits,technical seminars and workshops.The department also organizes personality development programsto enhance the overall personality of the students, to meet industrial requirements.

Electronics and Instrumentation Engineers have a bright future ahead as they are needed by almost all industries in various categories like Design, Development, Automation, Control, Fabrication, Inspection, Quality control, Maintenance and Service and so on. An Instrumentation engineer has opportunities in many central government organizations like DRDO, ISRO,IOC, BARC, NTPC, Railways, BSNL, HAL, AAI, etc. Also many core companies like Honeywell, Texas Instruments, National Instruments, ABB, Larsen & Tourbo, Robert Bosch, Invensys, GE, Suzlon, Apna Technologies, Whirlybird, ESSAR, Yokogawa, Orange, LG, SAMSUNG, SONY, SANSUI, Whirlpool, Intel, Vedanta, Oil & Coal. Our Curriculum The curriculum of B.E EIE is designed in such a way that, after completion of the courses, the students will be able to gain hands-on experiences in the design, analysis and implementation skills, which are required in electronics, electrical, computer, mechanical and instrumentation industries to make systems completely automated and intelligent. The students are trained by well qualified and experienced faculty.
