Narration for the month of Rab-ul-Awwal

From Imam Hadi (A.S.) Surely my father (Imam Jawad) (A.S) narrated

from Huzaifa Bin AlYaman, he visited my grandfather RasoolAllah

(S.A.W.) in one of these days (9th RabiulAwwal).

Huzaifa said: I saw Amirulmomineen (A.S) and his 2 sons (A.S.). They

were having food with RasoolAllah (S.A.W) while he was smiling looking

on their faces. He said to his 2 sons Imam Hassan (A.S.) & Imam Hussain

(A.S.) that eat & enjoy with the grace of this day and its happiness. For

surely this is the day when Allah (Ta'ala) destroyed His enemy and the

enemy of your grandfather. Surely this is the day when Allah (Ta'ala) ac-

cepts the deeds of your Shias and your Mohibeen and the day when the

word of Allah Jalla Jalalaho is fulfilled " ( "فتلك بيوتهم خاوية بما ظلمواSo

those are their houses fallen down because they were unjust - Sure

Naml, Ayat 52). And the day when He blew up the firaun to Ahlebait

(Alayhemussalam) and their oppressor and the usurper of their right.

And the day when Allah (Ta'ala) turned to

ما عملوا من عمل فجعلناه هباء منثورا" "

(whatever deeds they did (in this life), and We shall make such deeds as

floating dust scattered about.- Sure Al-Furqan: 25, 23).

(A.S.) JAFARI EDUCATION under the umbrella of KSIJ

Melbourne Australia launched the first summer program

on 9th of December 2017 successfully.

9 December 2017 marks the historic day when Jafari Education initiated the journey towards establishing a platform of providing quality Islamic education using contemporary teach methods to Melbourne Shia community’s children. It is a beginning of journey.

Jafari Education team, teachers and volunters arrived at 1:30pm to step each class room with posters, welcome posters and activities. At 2:10pm, Jafari Education team had a meeting with teachers and volunteers to discuss evacuation plan and what to do in case of emergency. Kids start arriving at 2:15pm where the parents and kids reported to the front desk and receivd their folders and name tags from Admin team.

After recieving folders and name tags, teachers directed the kids to their class rooms where the kids found their names on the door on the welcome poster. The kids then proceeded inside the classroom where they played games and engaged with their teachers and class mates. Kid spent initial hour getting to know their class mates through fun activities and bonding with their teachers. They then got involved in their weekly learning. A total of 27 kids enrolled in the program.

Jafari Education - Summer School Holiday Madressa Program - Update

At 3pm, Jafari Education team held orientation presentation for parents. Presentation started with Holy Quran by Muhammed Mehdi and short speech from KSIJ Melbourne General Secretary Farrukh Sewani following by orientation presentation by Raza Gulani.

Orientation presentation included discussion on the aim and objective of the program, introduction to the admin team, coordinator team and home room teachers, program rogram outline and parents activity. Parents where then served refreshments at 4pm.

KSIJ Melbourne’ management committee is extremely grateful for the Jafari Education team who has spent a huge amount of time and energy.

KSIJ Melbourne is proud of our Jamaat member Sister Batul Gulani who recently received ‘Victoria's Multicul-

tural Heroes’ award at a high-profile ceremony held at Government House on 23 November 2017. This award

is the highest award any Shia Muslim in Australia has received. It is a recognition of her selfless dedication to-

wards the advancement of the Shia community in Australia. She has already improved the lives of many Shia

Momineen and have played a vital role in unity the diverse Shia community leaders.

Message from AMAFHH Federation General Secretary Daud Webb: “Batul Gulani received 2017 Multicultural

Awards for Excellence recognised as one of ‘Victoria’s Multicultural Heroes’. This has been one of the highest

honours received by a Shia Muslim in Australia. Governor of Victoria Linda Dessau, Minister for Multicultural

Affairs Robin Scott and Deputy Premier James Merlino joined hundreds of people at a special ceremony at

Government House on Thursday 23 November 2017. The state government media release reads, “Among the

recipients was Pakistani-Australian psychotherapist Batul Gulani, who received the Premier’s Award for Com-

munity Harmony for her work with culturally diverse communities.” Mrs Gulani is the Director and founder of

the not-for-profit charity organisation AMAFHH Federation. She received the prestigious Premier’s Award for

Community Harmony in recognition of her outstanding commitment to wellbeing, inclusion & harmony for cul-

turally diverse communities. A passionate proponent of empowerment of culturally and linguistically diverse

Victorians, Mrs Gulani’s leadership encompasses initiatives that include the provision of social and counselling

services offered at the AMAFHH Federation, aiming to increase the wellbeing Victorians in culturally and lin-

guistically diverse communities, with a particular focus on young people and women, especially those experi-

encing domestic violence and other forms of abuse. Mrs Gulani has also established counselling and education

programs specifically for Shia Muslims, but the services of her charity are extended to all Victorians in need.

Working to bring people together in cooperation, she has facilitated the establishment of the Islamic Shia

Council of Victoria, uniting more than 20 Shia organisations. She has recently joined the Victorian Govern-

ment’s Multifaith AdvisoryGroup, which includes members of all major faiths represented in the state.’ There

is no way I can list all of Mrs Gulani’s achievements. There is no doubt that she has dedicated all her time and

energy to serving the community and contributing to the prosperity and harmony of Victorian Shia Muslims

community members and all other Victorians. Please pray for her health and further success in the service of
