Eid-ul-Fitr• During the month of Ramadan,

Muslims observe a strict fast and participate in pious activities such as charitable giving and peace-making.

• End of Ramadan, Muslims throughout the world celebrate Eid al-Fitr

• Eid al-Fitr falls on the first day of Shawwal, the month which follows Ramadan in the Islamic calendar.

Eid-ul-Fitr• On the day of Eid, Muslims gather

early in the morning in outdoor locations or mosques to perform the Eid prayer.

• After the Eid prayer, Muslims usually scatter to visit various family and friends

• Giving gifts especially to children, and make phone calls to distant relatives to give well-wishes for the holiday.

• These activities traditionally continue for three days.

• In most Muslim countries, the entire 3-day period is an official government/school holiday.

Eid-ul-Adha• Eid- Ul- Adha is one of the special

festivals of Muslim. • Eid- Ul –Adha is also known as Bakr- Eid

and festival of sacrifice. • On this festival Muslims sacrifice their

domestic animals like goat (Bakr- Eid), sheep, cow, camel etc.

• This sacrifice made by Muslims is a symbol of sacrifice made by prophet Abraham.

• Eid- Ul –Adha celebrations start after the Hajj.

• The first day of Eid- Ul –Adha is celebrated on the tenth day of Duhl -Hijja, that is the last month of the Islamic year.

Eid-ul-Adha• Muslims celebrate the festival

of Eid- Ul –Adha with lot of enthusiasm, enjoying each and every moment.

• On this day Muslims dress themselves in new clothes. Early in the morning prayers are recited by them to remember God

• The day beings with the breakfast of Sheer Korma.
