• The Power Struggle Stage– We become aware of our differences. – We’ve traded in those rose colored glasses for
clear zoom lenses. – Will there be a future?

• The Stability Stage– Freedom and choice– It is finally clear that you are not going to
reshape your partner.– Clear boundaries are determined– You may experience a sense of loss as you
realize that dreams are not necessarily a reality– After the power struggle stage you feel older
and wiser.– This is a resting time. The war is over and its
time to relax and enjoy your relationship.
