Breaks: will be used flexibly
Agenda review:• Sessions• Presentations, reports• Question/discussion time• Group photo• Lunch• No “Information Age” presentation in first session
Note: “G” in eGY refers to Earth and Space Science - used for continuity and recognition of IGY.
Purpose of the meeting:• Share information about progress, related initiative/developments• Identify and plan activities and conference events• Develop marketing arrangements• Provide an introduction to eGY for newcomers
Products:• Work plan through 2008 with dates and responsibilities• Formation of a meetings/events committee• Calendar of conferences and meetings with planned eGY events• Update plan for showcase demonstrations• Plan for an Earth and Space Science Informatics Summit• List of suggested activities for participants• List of article for newsletters and journals, with authors
Boulder data professionals• 1st meeting in Feb at CIRES; 3 talks and socializing, ~45 people• 2nd meeting Mar. 14 at NCAR/CG1 after eGY meeting; 5pm - two
speakers: Charlie Barton, Bob Chen, then receptions• 3rd meeting in late April… two more talks, another reception and
to set further directions
