Dear Parents/Carers, A couple of reminders as the holidays approach. • Daylight Savings finishes this Sunday 4 April, remember
to wind your clocks back 1 hour. • Students resume school on Tuesday 20 April.
• ANZAC Day public holiday on Monday 26 April.
• The NAPLAN 2010 Tests for students in Years 3, 5, 7 and
9 will be held from Tuesday 11 May to Thursday 13 May 2010. For more information and test samples, see www.naplan.edu.au/parents/parents.html
• Write your child’s name on everything! Jumpers and hats are too expensive to lose and at this time of year children wear a jumper to school in the cooler morning and then take it off as the day warms up.
You can: - use a permanent laundry marker to label clothes,
or sew or iron on personalised labels - check that labels haven’t faded with washing - go through your child’s bag with them each night
Next term we welcome Mr Small back. Thank you for your support during my time as Relieving Principal, I have thor-oughly enjoyed the experience. Enjoy a safe and restful holiday, Meleesa Smith.

STUDENT BANKING
Here at Eglinton Public School we would like to
encourage students to participate in the
Commonwealth Bank Student Banking Program.
Students can bring their Youthsaver bankbook and
money to school at the beginning of the week, then
it will be processed, deposited and bankbooks
returned to the student by Friday that week.
To encourage participation in School Banking the
Commonwealth Bank have introduced an exciting
Rewards Program. Every time children make a de-
posit, no matter how big or small, they receive a cool
Dollarmite token. These tokens can then be
exchanged for gifts of varying value. The more
tokens the child saves, the greater the value of the
gift. The whole program is designed to
encourage children to get into the habit of
making regular savings.
If you would like to participate, please
collect a pack from the front office or complete the
attached form, and I will give the pack to your child.
Happy Banking!
Regards
Carrolyn Halsey

Mothers Day Stall For those of you who are new to our school, each year we hold a “Mothers Day Stall”. This is a great oppor-tunity for students to purchase a small gift for their mother/grandmother. Gifts usually range from 50c to $5. The P & C has purchased some gifts to be sold, but we would love the donation of any homemade goodies, wrapped choco-lates, soaps, photo frames, coffee/tea sa-chets etc. There is a basket in the school office foyer where goodies can be left. For anyone interested in helping out with fundraising events please give me a call! Thankyou Melissa Parsons Phone 6337 1028
