eFinancePLUS 5.1 Upgrade

Ready for Conversion

The upgrade process for CFISD’s finance system, eFinancePLUS

is entering its initial phase, installation and system configuration.

There are three major phases to this upgrade process:

1. Installation and configuration of the eFinancePLUS 5.1 system

2. Conversion of the data and programs

3. System testing and acceptance by the finance users

Preparations are complete and the upgrade is ready to be

completed on Monday October 17, 2016.

On Wednesday, October 12, 2016, ISA

hosted user training sessions for the

system users.

SunGard led the applicants through

accessing the new system and the new

features.

Version 5.1

ISA is pleased and excited to

announce the release of CFISD’s

Finance System upgrade. The

eFinance Upgrade Committee

has worked countless hours in

preparation for this release. On

Monday, October 17, 2016,

the system will be LIVE with it’s

new look and feel. You will find

the programs work same, they

are just easier to access.

T Traweek and Son Nguyen began the

eFinance upgrade promptly at 4:00 pm

Friday, October 14, 2016.

The finance department personnel ran

balance sheets prior to the upgrade.

Monday morning, October 17,2016, they

will run the same balance sheets from

the new system to ensure that it

remained balanced.

The timeline will be as follows:

The system will be brought off line at

3:30 pm Friday, October 14, 2016 and

upgraded. The new system will open

10:00 am Monday, October 17, 2016.

Ann Sempe and Belinda Smith

continued the recycling effort this

week. They removed outdated

system documentation and

manuals.

Each system CFISD implements

comes with a full compliment of

material that documents the

installation environment as well

as the operations manuals.

In addition to manuals, system

trainers have created training

aides over the years. Ann and

Belinda are updating the training

material.

As the saying goes…

CCC team on Friday, October

14, 2016. Lee Honeycutt and

Scottie Stevens arraigned for

Lee to attend the CCC’s

department meeting to discuss

access to eTextbooks and the

Home Access Center (HAC).

Lee shared common errors

that prevent students and

parents from accessing these

resources.

The goal of the partnership is

to provide more effective and

timely support to the CFISD

This was an incredible week! Rodney and I were

fortunate to attended the SunGard National

Users Conference (SNUG) in Ft. Worth, Texas.

We were able to learn the latest offerings from

SunGard and how our peers around the country

is adopting the new technologies. While Rodney

and I were away, the team continued to perform

at exceptional levels. We are blessed with a

wonderful team!
