HoW TraNsfers WorK• If you need to take a connecting bus line or the Metro Gold Line to get to

your destination, ask your bus operator for a transfer when you pay your initial fare.

• Transfers are used to complete a one-way trip on two or more transit lines.• Transfers are NOT valid for a return trip or for a continued trip on the same

bus line.• local transfers are only valid on ARTS buses and will allow you to connect onto

other ARTS routes. You may not use an ARTS transfer to board the same route twice,in either direction.

• inter-agency transfers sold on the ARTS may be used on Metro buses, Metro GoldLine or Foothill Transit (Inter-Agency transfers from these agencies are also acceptedon the ARTS).
