• Mueller Standard Copper Tube may not fully meet ASTM
dimensional requirements.
• Standard Tube will be provided unless Certified Tube is
clearly defined on the Purchase Order.
• When specified at order placement, Mueller Copper Tube
can supply Certified Tube to meet all requirements of the
current applicable ASTM specification, at an additional
cost.
• May affect copper tubing that is ink stamped as B88,
B280, B306, or B819 unless special purchasing
arrangements are made.

AMO – NOI
• The Advanced Manufacturing Office (AMO) posted a Notice
of Intent (NOI) entitled “Clean Energy Manufacturing
Innovation Institute on Smart Manufacturing: Advanced
Sensors, Controls, Platforms and Modeling for
Manufacturing.”
• Energy Department will lead this competition and addressing
gaps in the development of smart manufacturing technology
• Seeks to develop, demonstrate, and transition to industry
advanced sensing, instrumentation, monitoring, control, and
process optimization using both advanced hardware and
software platforms, as well as modeling and simulation
technologies, for industrial automation
• Emerging opportunity across U.S. manufacturing firms

EM Hosts Business Opportunity Forum
• There was a public forum on EM’s procurement process,
certification of cost and pricing data, & business opportunities
in the legacy nuclear cleanup program
• EM is expanding the use of fixed-priced procurements
• Previous EM fixed price/rate contracts have been used in
Oak Ridge, Tenn.; Moab, Utah; and Hanford, Washington
• Upcoming procurements include: analytical laboratory
services at Hanford’s 222-S lab; infrastructure support in
Paducah, Ky., and Portsmouth, Ohio; and the management
and operations of the Transuranic Waste Processing Center
in Oak Ridge
• EM’s Office of Acquisition and Project Management plans to
host the forum approximately each quarter

• Action: Develop a comprehensive Supply Chain Quality Site,
Site contact, and Departmental list of Subject Matter Experts
from across the complex. The list should include National
Laboratories, NNSA, EM, and Science. Determine if the list is
to be controlled (through the supplier evaluation tool) or
publicly available (through a website or other means)
