The daughter of missionaries, California-based singer/songwriter spent much of her childhood in Europe,Nataly Dawnwhere she attended Lycées Français in France and Belgium before returning to the U.S. to study art at Stanford University.It was there that she met her partner and formed the duo , eventually performing, recording,Jack Conte Pomplamooseand editing songs and videos entirely on their own in their Northern California home. Their first upload to YouTube was asong they had written, “Hail Mary,” which was featured on the YouTube homepage. In 2010, the duo began releasingcreative covers of pop songs such as Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” and Lady Gaga’s “Telephone,” which grew their fanbaseeven further. Childhood friends Billie Joe Armstrong (guitar, vocals) and Mike Dirnt (bass) formed their first band, Sweet Children, inRodeo, California when they were 14 years old. On December 10, 2007, Led Zeppelin took the stage at London's O2 Arena to headline a tribute concert for dear friendand Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun. What followed was a two-hour-plus tour de force of the band's signatureblues-infused rock 'n' roll that instantly became part of the legend of Led Zeppelin. Founding members John PaulJones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were joined by Jason Bonham, the son of their late drummer John Bonham, toperform 16 songs from their celebrated catalog including landmark tracks "Whole Lotta Love," "Rock And Roll,""Kashmir," and "Stairway To Heaven." Although 20 million people applied for tickets, the band's first headline show in27 years was seen only by the 18,000 ticket holders who were fortunate enough to have secured seats through theworldwide lottery.

The film of will see a worldwide theatrical release by Omniverse Vision on 1,500 screens in over 40Celebration Dayterritories on October 17. The theatrical screenings will follow premieres in London, Los Angeles, New York, and othermajor cities. Tickets for the public screenings will be available on September 13 via ledzeppelin.com. record, Metheny and his "band" hit the road, playing over 100 concerts around the world, culminating with theOrchestrionrecording of in Brooklyn, NY. This recording showcases the full evolution of the Orchestrion asThe Orchestrion Projectdocumented at the tail end of a sprawling world tour and will be available on Nonesuch on January 29, 2013. Thedouble-disc set features all five sections of —"a soaring five-movement suite featuring some of the mostOrchestrionintricate music he's ever created" (Boston Globe)—plus eight additional Metheny compositions reimagined with theOrchestrion.

The Orchestrion itself is an assemblage of computer-operated acoustic instruments, all controlled by Metheny's guitar. Thefull instrumental array includes several pianos, drum kits, marimbas, "guitar-bots," dozens of percussion instruments andeven cabinets of carefully tuned bottles. Through Metheny's guitar, the instruments are struck, plucked, and otherwiseplayed via the technology of solenoid switches and pneumatics. Metheny worked for months with a brilliant team ofscientists and engineers to develop and assemble the Orchestrion.

Hometown: Islamabad, Pakistan

Rumer was born and spent the very early years of her life in Pakistan. Her father's engineering job led her along with sixother siblings to Darbela Dam, 30 miles northwest of Islamabad. Previously, the job had taken them to the WesternAustralian outback and Tasmania as well as to South Africa. . Her brother Rob gave Rumer her first guitar which shetaught herself to play, and years later, she wrote all the songs on her debut album, .Seasons of My Soul

Life changed when the family returned to the UK and settled in the New Forest. Her parents having separated, Rumer waseducated in Carlisle with her Dad, and spent summers in the New Forest. She left school at 16, and began to drift;studying at Art College in Devon and then joining a fledgling indie rock band, La Honda. Plays from Radio 1 followed, asdid early support from NME.

Her mother died in 2003, and Rumer hit rock bottom. The lyrics of songs like ‘Healer' document Rumer's journey throughgrief. On the dole and back in London, Rumer took action. She travelled to a stately home in the countryside, where sheessentially lived as part of a commune, owned by a "charismatic, philanthropic baronet.

Rumer's luck changed when she met award-winning TV and musical composer Steve Brown (It's A Wonderful Life,Spend, Spend Spend) at the Cobden Club in Kensal Rise. and Steven worked together and produced the firstRumersingle ‘Slow'. Having been signed to ATC Management, all corners of the industry quickly began angling for her signature.Then, in March, her hard work paid off, and Rumer finally signed to Atlantic Records. She released ,Seasons of My Soulher self-penned debut album in 2010.
