“Typhoon Haiyan was 300 miles across when it struck the Philippines on the 8th November 2013 and one of the most intense tropical storms to ever make land fall anywhere in the world, it bought torrential rain, sustained winds of over 195 mph and a storm surge of up to 30 feet that defeated coastal areas. There are millions of people who have been affected including hundreds and thousands who have been forced from their homes. There are millions of people who have survived and now need urgent help including emergency medicine, shelter, clean water and food."

Jason Wouhra, Indi Wouhra and Manjit Bagdi came up with the idea of hosting an event that would gather the Nation’s business community together to raise a substantial amount for the Filipino people.

On the 22nd of February 2014 a Gala Charity Dinner will be held at the ICC Birmingham in aid of the Philippines Typhoon Appeal, through Disaster Emergency Committee, where we are assured that the monies donated will go directly to helping those that need aid most. The event is all about enjoying a great evening whilst making a huge difference. Please dig deep and give generously as possible to "Help the Philippines to bloom again".
