1. This bookYou’re holding it in your hands. Over the yearsthis guide has evolved into the format you seebefore you, both in physical size and in the waythe information is contained within. We’ve splitthe country into 5 regions geographically, andeach of those regions has it’s own section ofthe guide (distinguished by a range of colours). In each you’ll find a map showing the locationsof the various attractions, all of which areassigned a number, and then in the pages thatfollow listed under that number there’s loads ofinformation, pictures and contact details foreach one!

This structure is great, because if you’replanning to visit more than one place, then youcan see at a glance what other attractions are

nearby. The maps are also handy for thosestruggling for ideas of where to take a trip, butif you already know the name of the placeyou’re looking to visit you can use thealphabetical index at the back of the guide tofind it. This method has benefits of it’s own, asit shows what subjects are covered by eachattraction through the use of a simple set ofsymbols.

2. www.educationalvisitsuk.comNear a computer? On our website you can usethe search facility to find attractions by name, region, type of attraction or by key wordsfeatured in the entry, such as the subjectscovered. Every attraction featured in print isonline, with direct links to their websites forwhen you want to gather further information.

One of the main advantages that the websiteprovides is that it’s continually updatedthroughout the year. This ensures that if thereare any alterations or changes to opening timesor entrance fees for instance, then theattractions can amend their details on thewebsite immediately to reflect the changes. They also have the ability to list upcomingevents and special offers for each month using

the What’s On facility so it’s worth checkingregularly to see what’s going on in your area!
