Past and PresentExcellent academics have been the key to the great success of All Hallows High School for over 100 years.
Receive an extraordinary education at a top U.S. Catholic High School
There is no secret why All Hallows consistently ranks as one of the top 50 Catholic high schools in the United States: we provide an excellent education with remarkable outcomes.
All Hallows offers an extensive course selection for students to excel in different areas of interest. Our graduates are regularly admitted to some of the nation’s finest colleges and universities.
All Hallows, founded in 1909 by the Congregation of Christian Brothers, is an
inner-city Catholic preparatory school for young men in the heritage of Blessed Edmund Rice that develops students who are prepared to realize their fullest potential; who can effect positive change in society; and who possess a lifelong desire to learn. We do this by offering a challenging, structured curriculum.
All Hallows is where over 10,000 graduates developed long lasting friendships and began the transition to adulthood. If we take a moment and reflect, we understand that our school experiences are what molds us into the young men that we have become. All Hallows offers a unique school experience which has prepared many men
to become successful in college and with the lives they currently enjoy.
Many amazing changes have been made at All Hallows since it opened its doors in 1909. One thing that has not changed is our reputation for academic excellence and Catholic values. Our strong sports program and extensive list of enrichment programs only serve to heighten your experience at All Hallows.
The high school decision process can sometimes be stressful. Many of our graduates say that choosing All Hallows was one of the most important decisions they made on their road to success. We encourage all of you to come and see for yourselves.

Catholic High School Honor Roll recognizes schools that excel in the area of academics, Catholic identity, and civic education.
All Hallows High School, named one of the top 50 Catholic high schools in the country, is the only school in the Archdiocese of New York to be recognized by the Catholic High School Honor Roll seven consecutive years - 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010-2012.

The entrance to All Hallows
Our School Seal When All Hallows was established in 1909 the school seal was carefully chosen. The Brothers from Ireland were totally dedicated to providing a quality education to the youth entrusted to their care; an education that would provide both Church and State with competent leaders.
The Latin phrase PRO FIDE ET PATRIA means FOR FAITH AND COUNTRY.
The American Eagle at the center of the seal represents the All Hallows Community's commitment to the United States. The wreath of palm surrounding the
seal refers to victory and achievement in both athletics and scholastics. The circle surrounding the eagle is a reminder of our continuing faith and the four corners of the seal are represented by the Gaelic symbol for the continuation of life.
While the seal appears on many All Hallows items none is more impressive than the Great Seal in the school lobby. Take a moment to look at it more closely but remember:
An All Hallows student never steps on the Great Seal.
Pro Fide et Patria... For Faith and Country

Studying Abroad
For over 10 years All Hallows students have traveled all over the world.
Here are some of the places our students have been:
Additionally, the Albert Schweitzer’s Leadership for Life Program gives students the opportunity to travel to Ireland - the homeland of Edmund Rice.
Students who excel during the school year are given the opportunity to travel around the world.
American Field Service (AFS) - Student Exchange Program AFS is a student-exchange program that encourages the pursuit of intercultural and international
learning. Qualified students are given the opportunity to visit one of 46 countries for a four to six week summer experience. While living with a host family, the student shares in the culture, history and activities of the chosen country. He has the opportunity to make new friends, be exposed to a new language and complete some of his school-mandated Christian Service hours. This experience enhances a student’s personal and educational growth while increasing his self-esteem and confidence. Additionally, students gain a competitive edge in college admissions. Our students have benefited from generous scholarship opportunities.
Albert Schweitzer’s Leadership for Life Albert Schweitzer’s Leadership for Life (ASLFL) is a dynamic partnership with the Ireland Chamber of Commerce – United States (ICCUSA) and its foundation (The ICCUSA Foundation, Inc.) based in Providence, New Jersey. The ICCUSA Foundation, Inc. actively promotes educational, economic, commercial and financial relations between the U.S and Ireland. ASLFL’s efforts meet the educational mission of the Ireland Chamber of Commerce while providing members with the knowledge that they are creating the world of the future – a more prosperous, peaceful world with strong and courageous leadership free of bigotry, ambivalence and cultural ignorance.
St. John’s University College Advantage Program - CAP The university’s commitment to academic excellence is manifested through the College Advantage Program. This program provides qualified students concurrent enrollment in their high schools and college credit-bearing courses from the university. This program is offered to qualified juniors and seniors during the academic year. The classes are taught at each high school by the faculty. The courses include: English, mathematics, language, fine arts, science, social sciences & humanities with some disciplines limited for juniors. The objectives of the program are (a) to provide students with an opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school and (b) to provide reduced tuition cost to students and parents, and to serve as an assessment of a student’s ability to do college level work.
Montefiore Mentoring in Medicine Program The Mentoring in Medicine Program offers the opportunity for students to advance their knowledge in the biological sciences and to expose them to a variety of health professional careers. In this rigorous program, students learn hands-on techniques, network with health professionals, prepare for a college curriculum, and, more importantly, learn a wealth of information about the array of health professional careers and healthy lifestyles. The Science and Health Careers Exploration Program curriculum will emphasize the biological sciences by reviewing the anatomy and physiology of 12 organ systems as encountered in most medical health curricula.
