AbstractDuring the topic 5.3.1 “Graffiti and Antigraffiti systems: the case of Saint Mark’s square in Venice” we will see together some example of preventive conservation, in particular some actions/solutions which can be chosen to fight against non-artistic graffiti (such as defacements and smearinesses) on artistic surfaces. This kind of prevention is due to a particular degradation, which is not linked to environmental factors (as seen during Module 3): it is an example of anthropic degradation…a degradation caused by humans!

In this sense, Prevention is seen as Education as well
