Educational Initiatives welcomes Founder Director Sudhir Ghodke back, as the new Executive Vice President Ahmedabad/Bangalore – 16th August 2016 Educational Initiatives (EI), a 16 year old educational products/solutions company announced re-instating of Sudhir Ghodke, the founder director of EI as its New Executive Vice-President. “It gives me great pleasure in announcing that Mr Sudhir Ghodke, Founder Director of Educational Initiatives, has joined us back full time as Director and Executive Vice-Presi- dent to lead EI’s efforts to expand our reach and help every child learn with understand- ing,” expressed Sridhar Rajagopalan, Co-founder, Educational Initiatives. Sudhir Godke is one of the founding members of EI along with Shridhar Rajagopalan and Venkat Krishnan, IIM-A alumni, who came together to start Educational Initiatives (EI) in the year 2001 with a common cause to improve children’s ability to learn systematically and learn with understanding. “I am happy to be back at EI after two year sabbatical, which I needed for health reasons. But during this period of time, I have been able to work on education related initiatives close to my heart,” shared Sudhir Ghodke. During the two years, Sudhir has been researching the new and exciting area of Neurosci- ence and its application in the field of teaching and learning. He has focused specifically on the changes that happen in the brain at the adolescent age which is technically called the "Second Decade - From Age 10 to 20". He is currently teaching a 2 credit course at CEPT University and has conducted workshops in schools for teachers on the subject of Neuroscience. “Sudhir’s baby Skillfest, a specialized teacher-training program devised during the last two years will bring tremendous value to our schools and teachers in particular. EI plans to scale-up this event and its reach in the years to come”, further shared Shridhar. Skillfest, an annual teacher-training program consists of a series of workshops spread over a period of 5 days and over 400+ teachers from 40 different schools from Gujarat and Maharashtra benefited during the last edition of the event. The program aims at providing teachers with niche skills and competencies along with strong subject based know-how. The workshops also help teachers understand the contemporary teaching techniques.
