Although Nano�ctionary stories are shared orally, the games is essentially a creative writing exercise.

Players collect cards in four “suits” — character, setting, problem, and resolution — and use their imaginations to connect the parts of their story in a logical and entertaining way. Players then take turns telling their stories. The game ends with a vote for the best story.
