We work to increase the number of children who go to school and who complete a good quality, basic education.

39 million children are out of school because of war and conflict in their

country

Rewrite the Future

In South Sudan we have provided educational material and teaching training to 46 schools benefitting

23,000 children.

In Indonesia we helped tutor 23,408 students in Aceh who were out of

school for prolonged periods of time.

Language barriers are a big issue for children from ethnic minority groups.

We focus on inclusive education.

Save the Children have helped 114,000 children aged 4 to 14 in Vietnam through

Ethnicity Minority and Bilingual Education projects

Disabled children are in danger of missing out on education

We piloted programmes where disabled children were taught alongside

mainstream children.

Children from the poorest families are most likely to miss out on school. They may have to work to help support their

families

Calcutta are employed as domestic help.
