We’re ambitious
We work to increase the number of children who go to school and who complete a good quality, basic education.
We focus on:• Children in countries affected by war• Education in emergencies• Children from minority ethnic communities• Disabled children• Children from very poor families• Inclusive education for girls
In South Sudan we have provided educational material and teaching training to 46 schools benefitting
23,000 children.
In Indonesia we helped tutor 23,408 students in Aceh who were out of
school for prolonged periods of time.
Language barriers are a big issue for children from ethnic minority groups.
We focus on inclusive education.

Save the Children have helped 114,000 children aged 4 to 14 in Vietnam through
Ethnicity Minority and Bilingual Education projects
We piloted programmes where disabled children were taught alongside
mainstream children.
