Principal’s Report . . .
The semester is nearly over but what a fantastic term we have
had. Some highlights for term 3 are -
Music Rocks Australia Concert
Some students and staff went to Badlands in Perth for our
Music Rocks Concert performance. WE ROCKED!!!! It was a
huge success and I am so proud of students for getting up and
putting on such a fantastic performance. I would like to acknowledge the massive commitment from
students’ families and staff - this wonderful event would not have happened without you!
National School Opinion Surveys (NSOS)
Seeking the opinion of parents, students and staff has been a part of good school management and school accountability for many years. Your opinion is highly valued at Cyril Jackson SC ESC.
Schools are required to administer the National School Opinion Surveys for parents, students and staff at least every two years, commencing in 2014. The National School Opinion Survey results must be included in the school's annual report. To maintain confidentiality, this survey is anonymous, and responses cannot be attributed to an individual.
Thank you in advance for being part of the National School Opinion Survey. I will send this link out via email so please contact the office to update your email address on 9413 4850. Students and staff will complete this survey during school hours.
Camp
Our three-day Bushrangers Recreation Camp at Bickley was fantastic! I must commend all students
for their exemplary behaviour while on camp. Students showed remarkable maturity and
independence, keeping their dormitories clean and helping each other out. We enjoyed the flying fox,
canoeing, observatory night watch, rope climbing, raft building, laser tag, night trail, crate climbing,
leap of faith and a fun talent show/quiz night. The activities required students to overcome physical
and mental challenges and I am so proud of what each and every one of them achieved.
I would also like to acknowledge the wonderful staff at the centre, who worked so hard to make this
camp a success. Our staff are dedicated to helping students achieve the best outcomes possible
which makes our centre a very special place.
The camp was funded by the Bushranger Cadets program. Please see photos on page 4.
