Guesthouse Housekeeping Chale Bay Farm Source: www.isleofwightjobs.com

A further seasonal vacancy has arisen at our Award Winning Luxury Guest House Chale Bay Farm, as one of our existing team has had to reduce their hours due to illness. We are looking for a confident, well presented, articulate person to join the small friendly team during the main season to work on housekeeping of rooms, and also to help the owners with many other tasks involved in running the guesthouse. This role is a flexible seasonal chambermaid/ housekeeping role with hours typically from 10:30 to early-mid afternoon, so may well complement someone who wants to take on some additional work to dovetail in with another part time job in the afternoons or evenings (e.g. bar work). For the right candidates there is definite scope for expansion into the low season and renewal in subsequent years (as has happened with existing good staff). The essential requirement for this role is having the skills and attention to detail to housekeep guest rooms and bathrooms to a luxury standard, as well as having the necessary physical stamina for the role particularly on days when we are busy with lots of checkouts. Being a relatively small business we need people prepared to roll up their sleeves and work hard and be flexible to the changing demands of the business and for such people we have built up a reputation as generous payers relative to the hotel & hospitality sector. Pay will be based on skills and experience, plus Share of Tips and of course statutory holiday allowance. Previous applicants for our similar roles earlier this year need not apply (unless we have already contacted you by email for a re-interview). The role is ideally 6 days a week (though candidates preferring to work only 5 days will be considered). Weekend and bank holiday working is required and there will be no holiday time granted during the remainder of the summer school holidays or other school holiday periods in the year as being in the tourism industry this simply is not compatible with the peak demand of the job!

The internet marketing apprentice will need to know everything about a product, write a catchy advert with limited characters, and have the confidence to invest company money in a campaign. The apprentice will learn how to analyse performance and optimise return, build campaigns and scale their work to a commercial level, becoming part of the marketing team.
