Her resignation is effective at the end of the school year. In other business, Deb County, a Frances Gillespie Excellence Award Committee member, said the committee nominated Rece Herboldsheimer as the 2013 recipient of the Frances Gillespie Excellence Award. Later in the meeting, the board approved the Herboldsheimer as the award recipient. The board also received a budget report that implies more good news. The revised budget presented by County and Summers, with additional information from the School finance Unit of the Colorado Department of Education, shows a potential increase in per pupil funding for 2013-2014, and a slight reduction in reserve requirements to balance the revised budget. David Monheiser, Evaluation/ Performance Council Member, presented the recommendation of the district’s Evaluation/ Performance Council to move to the Colorado Department of Education evaluation tool for all teaching and administrative staff for the 2013-2014 school year. The proposal was approved by the school board. Cost of the Sterling High School Food and Fitness labs will be reduced by $10 for the 2013- 2014 school year. The board also approved a $10 late registration fee at SHS, and a $25 supply fee for the Learning Center.
