PRINCIPAL’S REPORT Dear Parents Welcome to our Week 4 newsletter. Making news at our wonderful school this fortnight... Education Week Thank you to all of our parents who attended school last week during open day. It was wonderful to see you taking such an active part in your child’s learning! Photos of the day appear in this newsletter. Three Way Interviews Please remember to book an interview time to meet with your child’s teacher next Wednesday afternoon. In a change to process this year, we are asking all students to attend the meeting with you and the teacher so they actively engage in setting directions for their learning with us. School Athletics Carnival Congratulations to all students who participated in our athletics carnival last Thursday. A great day was had by all, with some very impressive performances recorded. My thanks go to Robins Little Athletics for the use of their facilities and assistance setting up, to the P&C for running the barbecue and kiosk, to our organising teachers who did such a marvellous job coordinating the carnival and to the parents who supported us so enthusiastically on the day. Communication Expectations Unfortunately, I have recently needed to write to a number of parents and visitors to our school to address the aggressive manner in which they are speaking with the office staff and teachers. I expect my staff to treat parents in a professional manner and I ask that this courtesy is reciprocated. As a parent myself, School Calendar Please note that all dates are subject to change. Order buses for the right number of students

Book correct numbers for all activities on excursions

Organise students not involved in these activities and;

Administration of Prescribed Medications and Health Care Procedures

Parents of children who require prescribed medication to be administered at schol must complete a written request which is available from the office. Students must not carry medications unless there is a written agreement between the school and the student’s parents that this a planned part of the student’s health care support. Such as students suffering from asthma may have their medication on their person and, as part of their health care plan, need to be educated in the use of that medication.

Non Prescribed Medications Schools do not administer medication which has not been prescribed by a medical practitioner for an individual student for a specific condition. Parents are asked to please do not send Panadol/Cold & Flu medications that have not been issued to students via a prescription form a doctor.

IF A STUDENT HAS A SCHOOL OPAL CARD,

DON’T FORGET TO TAP “ON” AND “OFF” WHEN

USING THE SCHOOL BUS SERVICE.
