“The Love of God must be revealed to the whole world, as Peter himself taught,
since the gift of the Holy Spirit has been poured out also on the Gentiles”.
In the First Reading of the day, Peter, after having witnessed the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the pagans, lovingly welcomes the message of salvation for all those who had no relationship with or knowledge of God.
Here the conversion of Cornelius and all his family is a sign of the power that the Lord has given to Peter as Prince of the Church and cornerstone. This way the Lord reveals His plan of salvation to all nations.
In the Second Reading we see how the relationship between God and men always begins with God’s initiative. He loves us and wants us all to reciprocate this love of God. Only from this perspective we can know God. “Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God”.
Once again the Lord speaks to us about Love. For Love never fails, is necessary that it be a common feeling that prevents us from oppressing others, or treating others as servants or slaves. “No one has more love than he who lays down his life for his friends, says the Lord”.
Let us pray this Sunday for all our Mothers, living and deceased, giving Thanks to God for their gift of motherhood and for giving us life, and preserving it in the midst of so many difficult situations surrounding the upbringing the education of children. Blessings to all MOTHERS.

CATHOLIC COMMUNICATIONS CAMPAIGNNext weekend, May 15th and 16th, 2021 our parish will take up the Catholic Communications Campaign. This collection communicates the Gospel through Catholic social media activities and enriches our faith through podcasts, television, radio and print media. Half of all proceeds remain in our Diocese and support local needs. Thank you for your generosity.
THE ASCENCION OF THE LORD
Today Jesus sends his Disciples to baptize in his name, reminding them that he is always present through his Spirit. Having ascended to the Father amid shouts of Joy, we must all be witnesses, for we have been endowed with His Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation. Let us therefore live in a manner worthy of the call we have received. During these nine days I invite you to prepare ourselves with the Novena to the Holy Spirit, so that this new Pentecost of 2021 may restore in each one of us, the order lost by sin and the indifference of the world and in this way we will renew our Faith received in our Baptism, making us all members of Christ Priest, Prophet and King. Today Jesus, after giving his Instruction to the apostles, commanded them: “Do not depart from Jerusalem. Wait here for the fulfillment of the promise of my Father, of which I have already spoken to you”. John baptized with water, and in a few days we will be baptized with the Holy Spirit. From now, I want to invite you to the Solemn Mass of the Ascension to be celebrated on Thursday, May 13 at 7:30 pm. All are Welcome.
Each family and parish group is cordially invited to the Solemn Vigil of Pentecost to be celebrated in our Community on Saturday, May 21 at 7:00 pm. On this day the members of the Prayer Circles and the Reading Ministers, together with the Pastor, will be in charge of organizing and executing this Vigil. Thank you and Blessings to all. SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER
“El Amor de Dios debe ser revelado a todo el mundo, como Pedro mismo lo ensenó,
dado que el don del Espíritu Santo se ha derramado también sobre los gentiles”.
En la Primera Lectura del día, Pedro después de haber constatado la venida del Espíritu Santo sobre los paganos, acoge amorosamente el mensaje de la Salvación para todos aquellos que a su lado no tenían relación ni conocimiento de Dios.
Aquí la Conversión de Cornelio y toda su familia es muestra de ese poder que El Señor le ha dado a Pedro como Príncipe de la Iglesia y piedra angular. De esta manera El Señor Revela la todas las naciones su plan de Salvación para todos los hombres.
En la Segunda lectura vemos como las relaciones entre Dios y el hombre empiezan siempre por la iniciativa de Dios. Quien nos Ama y quiere que todos correspondamos a este amor de Dios. Solo desde esta perspectiva podremos conocer a Dios. “Todo el que Ama ha nacido de Dios y conoce a Dios”
Una ves mas nos habla el Señor del Amor. Para que el Amor nunca falle es necesario que sea un sentimiento común que evite de nuestra parte oprimir al otro, o tratar al prójimo como siervos o esclavos. “Nadie tiene mas amor que el que da la vida por sus amigos, dice el Señor”.
Oremos este Domingo por todas nuestras Madres, vivas y difuntas, dando Gracias a Dios por su don de la Maternidad y por darnos y la vida y preservarla en medio de tantas situaciones que rodean la crianza la educación de los hijos. Bendiciones a todas las MADRES.

SEGUNDA COLECTAEste fin de semana 8 y 9 de Mayo de 2021, la segunda colecta será para el mantenimiento y reparación de los edificios parroquiales. Gracias por su Generosidad
CAMPAÑA CATÓLICA DE LAS COMUNICACIONESLa próxima semana, 15-16 de Mayo de 2021, nuestra parroquia realizará la Colecta para la Campaña Católica de las Comunicaciones. Esta colecta apoya a los medios sociales católicos que llevan el Evangelio a lugares distantes manteniendo viva nuestra fe a través de la televisión, lar radio y la prensa escrita. La mitad de los recaudado permanece en nuestra Diócesis y financia las necesidades locales. Gracias por su generosidad.
LA ASCENSION DEL SEÑOR
Hoy Jesús envía a sus Discípulos a Bautizar en su nombre, recordándoles que El esta siempre presente por medio de su Espíritu. Habiendo Ascendido al Padre entre gritos de Alegría, todos debemos ser testigos, pues hemos sido dotados con su Espíritu de Sabiduría y Revelación. Vivamos por lo tanto de una manera digna del llamado que hemos recibido.
Durante estos nueve días les invito a prepararnos con la Novena al Espíritu Santo, para que este nuevo Pentecostés del 2021 restaure en cada uno de nosotros, el orden perdido por el pecado y la indiferencia del mundo y de esta manera Renovaremos nuestra Fe recibida en el Bautismo, haciéndonos a todos miembros de Cristo Sacerdote, Profeta y Rey.
Hoy Jesús después de dar su Instrucción a los apóstoles, les mando: “No se alejen de Jerusalén. Aguarden aquí que se cumpla la promesa de mi Padre, de la que ya les he hablado”. Juan Bautizo con Agua, y dentro de pocos días seremos bautizados con el Espíritu Santo. Les invito desde ya a la Solemne Misa de la Ascensión para celebrarla el día Jueves 13 de mayo a las 7:30 pm. Bienvenidos.
Cada familia y Grupo parroquial están cordialmente invitados a la Solemne Vigilia de Pentecostés a celebrase en nuestra Comunidad el día Sábado 21 de mayo a las 7:00 pm. Este día estarán a cargo de organizar y ejecutar esta Vigilia los miembros de los Círculos de Oración y los Ministros Lectores, juntos con el Párroco. Gracias y Bendiciones para todos.

FUNERAL MASS WITH ASHESThe Parish of the Blessed Sacrament opens its doors to all those who lost a loved one during the pandemic, and whose cremated bodies have not yet had a funeral, so they can celebrate the funeral with ashes. As a main requirement the Death Certificate is requested.

SPIRITUAL PARTICIPATION IN THE EUCHARIST
We want to remind you that the Eucharistic Bread and Wine, the Lamp of the Sanctuary, the Candles and the Flowers used for the celebration of the Mass in our parish, can be offered for a week. Each gift is offered for an intention, which can be for the sick, in thanksgiving, birthday, or in memory of a loved one.

MISA FUNERAL CON CENIZASLa Parroquia del Santísimo Sacramento abre sus puertas, a todos aquellos que perdieron a un ser querido durante la pandemia, y cuyos cuerpos cremados aún no han tenido funeral, para que puedan celebrar las exequias con las cenizas de su ser querido. Se solicita como principal requisito el Certificado de Defunción.

PARTICIPACIÓN ESPIRITUAL EN LA EUCARISTÍA

INFORMATION TO OUR COMMUNITY INFORMACIÓN A LA COMUNIDAD
CHANGES DUE TO SACRAMENTAL CELEBRATIONS
Due to the sacramental celebrations of First Communion for our children in the Religious Education Program, on Saturdays, May 8th and 15th, 2021, only the 8:00 AM Mass will be celebrated Bilingual at Bishop Valero Hall, the 9:00 AM Mass will be cancelled on these two dates only, as well as the 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM Confession services. For more information please call to the parish office.
PURGATORIAL INTENTIONS
We invite the Blessed Sacrament Community to consider registering your deceased loved ones in the Parish Purgatorial Society. Their names will appear each week in the Sunday bulletin and we will pray for them at the Purgatorial Society Members Mass, every Sunday at the 8:30 AM for a period of one year.

The Blessed Sacrament website has expanded the means for you to make your donations more conveniently. If for some reason you were unable to participate in the weekend Masses, please send your donation via PayPal, Zelle, or during the Facebook Mass broadcast using the stars. For all other parish services our office will be open at the regular times, which are also listed on the website.
HELPING THOSE WHO SUFFER
Blessed Sacrament Parish is accepting donations to support the victims of the fire at 90th Street and 34th Avenue in Jackson Heights, Queens. Non-perishable goods, toiletries, and new or gently used clothing are requested. Cash donations will be forwarded to the agencies in charge of their administration.
SAFE ENVIRONMENT - VIRTUS
Blessed Sacrament Parish is requesting all Liturgical Ministers and Parish Coordinators who have not taken Virtus safe environment training or would like to upgrade, to register with the Director of the Office of Faith Formation, Mr. Edwin Perez, for the online Virtus session in Spanish to be held on May 12th, 2021.
Be aware that obtaining Virtus certification is mandated by both the Parish and the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens, and it is an essential requirement to be part of the Parish Liturgical Body.

AMBIENTE SEGURO - VIRTUS
La parroquia del Santísimo Sacramento solicita a todos los Ministros Litúrgicos y Coordinadores parroquiales que no han tomado el entrenamiento de ambiente seguro Virtus o quieren actualizarlo, registrarse con el Director de la Oficina de Formación de la Fe, Señor Edwin Pérez, para la sesión Virtus en línea en español que se realizará el 12 de mayo de 2021.
Tengan en cuenta que obtener la certificación de virtus es mandatorio tanto por parte de la Parroquia como de la Diócesis de Brooklyn y Queens, y es un requisito esencial para formar parte del Cuerpo Litúrgico Parroquial.

ADULT SACRAMENTS-RCIA, OPEN
The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is a process for adults, who freely wish to undertake the journey of faith and conversion, seeking for the living God through the Sacraments.
Eligible candidates for the program:
1. Adults who have not been baptized and wish to do so in the Catholic Faith.
2. Baptized Christians of other denominations who wish to be part of the Catholic Church.
3. Baptized Catholic adults who wish to receive the Sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation to complete the Christian Initiation Sacraments.
4. Baptized & Catechized catholic adults who have not yet completed the Sacrament of Confirmation

El RICA (Rito de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos) es un proceso destinado a los adultos, que libremente desean emprender el camino de la fe y de la conversión, para buscar al Dios vivo a través de los Sacramentos.
Candidatos aptos para el programa:
1. Adultos que no se han bautizados y que desean hacerlo en la Fe Católica;
2. Adultos bautizados cristianos en otras denominaciones que desean ser parte de la Iglesia Católica.
3. Adultos bautizados Católicos que desean hacer la Primera Comunión y la Confirmación para completar los Sacramentos de Iniciación de nuestra Fe Cristiana.
4. Adultos bautizados y catequizados que desean completar el Sacramento de la Confirmación.
